i will be having a throwback chapter to clear up this one!

it was now october, two months had passed since cillian and emma had seen one another. their schedules pulling them away from each other. cillian was coming back to new york to visit her as she was underway with serious rehearsals for her play with sebastian in the winter next year. she had not been able to get away between those days off of that when she was not at the theater, she was doing things for wanda vision in the mean time. she was running on fumes and a potential little weekend getaway to the hamptons was something she was itching for. jackie had said that the two of them could go up there possibly, if marge didn't need anything from her. emma was busy packing up her suitcase, and a small bag of food for the drive up there. it would be about a 2 in a half hour ride up to the house that her mom's side had had for ages. she smiled at what the two of them could get up to this weekend. her phone went off with a text from jackie, that she was outside in her car waiting for her. emma hummed, smiled grabbing her things. she quickly made her way downstairs, and was greeted with jackie - who quite honestly was her friend - was standing outside with a grin and her arms across her chest. "lets get this show on the road!" she said doing a little dance before taking her friend's suitcase. emma rolled her eyes hopping in the front seat, with her purse and snack bag. "oh you brought the good stuff." jackie grinned, at the pringles that emma took out. "oi! lets get ourselves out of here." she grinned pulling into traffic. the two arrived about 3 hours later since they needed a mid drive starbucks run, around 5 pm. jackie let emma know that they had dinner reservations at 6:30 downtown, so they had to hurry up. emma quickly changed and did her hair and makeup. for the first time in a while she wanted to look good, put on makeup etc. she'd been in such a rut, that this weekend boosted her just the bit that she needed. she walked out in a white linen shirt, blue jean shorts, black ankle boots and a black purse. jackie smiled at her, and pushed her out the door or else they were going to be late.

they arrived at the reclusive restaurant, emma thankful for how small it was. she smiled got out of the car, and saw that the pier was right next to the restaurant and she wanted to take a quick picture of the sunset. "go get our seats, I'm gonna take a picture." she smiled and jackie cringed a bit bit nodded. emma walked off towards the pier and began her descent down. back at the restaurant, jackie cursed her friend. she took out her phone just as cillian walked up to her. "where is she?" he questioned coming up next to her, without looking up she just pointed towards the dock. cillian took notice of the blonde girl and softly smiled. "now go before i take your reservation." she said cheekily and he hurried down the pier. emma was in her own world as she took some pictures, and then she felt the soft touch of hands and then arms wrap around her torso. she squealed in confusion, before hearing his soft laugh. "hi, love." he whispered into her air and her cheeks turned crimson red. though they hadn't seen each other since they made out the night before her premiere, things still were different between them. that night changed things for them. they had come to the conclusion that despite it being for their 'job' it felt incredibly real for them. "what are you doing here?" she questioned, turning around in his arms. she wrapped hers around his neck and smiled. "jackie told me you took the weekend off and to get my arse over here." he said cheekily and she giggled. "well I'm glad you did." she said softly, looking at his chest nervously before looking back up. he smiled softly, "really?" he said coyly and she playfully pushed him away. "uh huh." she said turning back around and cillian leaned against the pier, watching her take some photos. he saw her blush and sneak looks at him. "yes...?" she questioned locking her phone, sliding it in her purse. he shrugged, "you just look... gorgeous." he smiled and she shook her head, crossing her arms. "i still cant believe you came...especially after last time." she said moving closer, and his mind flashed back to the empty apartment he walked into. the one he spent two hours at, hoping she'd walk in. but she was at her aunts. "yeah..." he said softly, pulling her into his arms. "I'm sorry about that, i didn't listen to my mom when she said to get home." she said feeling guilty. "its okay. i just know not to fly across the world to see you last minute." he said cheekily and she rolled her eyes. "i loved the flowers, and hated the note." she said and he laughed softly. "I'm glad you loved them, and yeah that note was not fun to write. nor was it not getting a text from you." he said, eyebrow perking. "yeah yeah, my text didn't go through which meant you were in the air or about to be." he nodded at her response. she sighed, leaning her head against his chest like it was something natural she did. he smiled softly, resting his head on her head looking out towards the ocean. "i would love to stand here with you but we have dinner to get to." he said peering down at her. she groaned, pulling away and he slipped his hand in hers. she smiled down at it, like it was something they just did.
