Matt sat silently in her room which was still blue-lit as Melody shut the door quietly. She sat down on her bed, joining Matt in the silence. She hissed through her nose before breaking the awkwardness between them. "What did you want then." A cold tone slipped through Melody's lips as she looked up at Matt. Matt ran his fingers through his hair awkwardly before adjusting his position to face Melody.

"I'm sorry, Melody. I really am. I never meant for anything to happen between you and Chris." Melody almost felt pity for him with how sincere he was before rage filled her blood after properly realising what he had done.

"So... is that it?" Melody scoffed. Her smile faded quickly. "You kiss me in front of my boyfriend- YOUR BROTHER and absolutely ruin our relationship and all you have to say is 'I'm sorry'?"

Matt stayed silent as Melody waited for an answer. It must've been a while before Matt answered her, mumbling something underneath his breath. Melody looked at him dead in the eyes, confused. "Ah-hem. Uhm.." Melody tilted her head, still looking at him.

"God, your consistent aren't you Mel?" Matt chuckled lightly before sighing. "I can't. I can't tell you." He whispered, breaking eye contact with Melody. Melody didn't say anything but looked at him through her eyebrows. "And whys that?" she bluntly responded. She didn't know what answer she would get and looked at Matt as he turned away.

He was saved by the sound of Melody's ringtone blasting through the house "Shit shit shit" She whispered beneath her breath as she turned it down. She wasn't sure who had called but she picked up anyway, holding her phone up to her ear.

"Hello?" A very familiar voice sounds through her ears. Her heart stops quickly as she wonders why they had called her now.

"Chris?" Melody responded quickly. Did he miss her? Did he regret what he said? Is he coming back to her? This is the best night of her life. "Is Matt there?" Chris cleared his throat, sounding a little nervous for some reason. "Yeah hes here, are you okay?"

"He just left in such a rush I didn't know where he wen-" He paused quickly "So you haven't killed him yet?" He laughed, realising why hes there. "Yeah no hes good. hah.." Melody quickly clears her throat before looking up at Matt. Melody caught him staring at her before he looked away.

"Anything else you need?" Melody said before Chris quickly replied. "Yeah sorry just.. never mind, goodnight. Oh, and tell Matt to be back soon yeah?" Melody sighed. "Yeah, sure. Goodnight."

Melody hung up before Chris could say anything. She put her phone down before she was met with Matt's lips gently pressed against hers. Shocked, Melody didn't say anything.

Neither did she pull away.
