Part Two Of "Lost In The Woods With You"

----------------------------

Silver ran home with the biggest smile on his face. He couldn't wait to go home and tell his father everything that had happened only a few minutes earlier. As his cottage was in view he quickly went to the front door.

Catching his breath for a second he lifted his hand and knocked on the door before opening it. "Father! Father, I'm home!" He beamed as he stepped inside.

"Suprise!" Yelled his father as Silver gasped at the sight. His father had made sure the home was cleaned, prepared a beautiful outfit for him, and even baked him a cake! "Oh, father!" Silver gushed as he went to hug him.

"Today Is just the best day ever." He sighed in contentment. "Everything is so wonderful. Just wait till you meet her!" Lilia stopped his movements as his eyes widened. "Her? Who are you talking about? Have you met some stranger?"

"Oh she's not a stranger, we've met before."

"You have? Where?"

"Once upon a dream!" He said as he got closer to his father. As he hummed the familiar song he grabbed a hold of his father and began to dance with him. Replaying the moment he had with the girl he met earlier.

"You're in love!?" Yelled his father in shock as Silver only smiled brightly at what he had said. With the release of a shaky sigh, he made his son stop dancing. "This is terrible." He mumbled.

"Huh? What do you mean? But I'm 16 already. Cant I love whoever I wish?" Silver asked his father with a frown. His voice became shaky as he became afraid of what his father might say.

"No, no you're age is not a problem." Lilia sighed. "You're already betrothed to Princess Y/N." He confessed as his heart shattered at Silver's reaction.

"T-that can't be! If I'm supposed to marry a princess I should be a prince." He huffed as his hands bawled into fists.

"But that's the thing dear. You are a prince. You're the prince of the village nearby." He said as he smiled at his son. Taking Silver's hand in his, Lilia brought the other hand to wipe away the tears that began to form on his son's face.

"I'll be taking you home soon. To your real family. There you will marry the princess and live the life you deserve."

Something in the silver-haired boy snaps. "You're not my father...?" He cried which the boy's "father" stayed silent at. Ripping his hands away from him, Silver's sobs became louder.

"W-why! It's not fair!" He cried as he ran towards the stairs, climbing them he got into his room.

Closing the door with a bang Silver threw himself on his bed and he curled himself into a ball. Sadness overwhelmed him as today, his happiest day turned into his saddest day ever. His father was never really his father and now he would be forced to marry a woman that wasn't her.

...

Finally, out of the woods, the princess let out a groan. "Finally Samson, we are finally out of that forest. You got us lost for quite some time!" She laughed. Her previous wet cloak and boots are now dry. Her crown is neatly displayed on her head.
