When I heard two other voices talking I recognize them as Reiner and Eren and I assumed Berthold was with them when a Russell in the bushes made my ears perk up I saw a small pup that had been injured It looked like it's foot was broken
"So you were abandoned by your family too little one?" I said, as I carefully picked up the pup in my arms it's fur was a similar colour to Mikasa's hair. I waited until it got much later and I was sure everybody was asleep before I took the pup back into the barracks "hmmm you need a name...I could name you midnight or maybe I could ask Mikasa but more importantly, I need to get you to the infirmary to wrap up your leg" my voice was soft as not wake anybody up but also to comfort the pup "ask me what?" The raven haired girl asked startling me " Mikasa your awake or did I wake you" I questioned forgetting about pup in my arms "oh no you didn't wake me up...what's in your arms y/n?"
"Oh right I forgot about this little guy. I found it earlier today" I smiled down at the pup in my arms " is it dangerous?" Mikasa asked
