PROLOGUE

"Shut up!" I stared at him with mere awe.
"Don't shout straight at my face!" I told him.
"Fine, tapusin na natin itong usapang to. I'm tired." He told me as if theses things don't matter. He took a step forward and cupped my chin.
"You're tired?" I screamed removing his hands. " Have you ever asked me kung pagod na ako? have you ever asked me what I really want in life and what I don't? Have you ever wondered if I enjoy things I do right now more than the things I enjoy doing before? Have you ever thought why am I not arguing frigging little things with you anymore?have you ever tried understanding me?"
"Yeah, I do." he told me.
"Yeah? You think so? You don't understand me even a little bit and you're not even trying. Hindi mo ko naiintindihan and you never will!" sabi ko sa kaniya tapos umupo ako dun sa garden bench.
"I'm trying, I'm putting the effort you want me too." he told me in a so calm way, he was never good at. I smirked at his reason and the effort he was talking about. BULLSHIT.
"Effort? Damn you for your so called effing effort!" I told him. Nag-iba yung tingin niya sa akin bigla. I guess I provoked him. Tinaasan niya na ako ng boses.
"What do you want? What do you really want? A Separation?" he said.
Natigilan ako. I don't know what to say.
Tiningnan niya ako sa mata. It sent me shivers. He was so serious I can't say anything. tapos biglang gumana yung logic switch ng utak ko. So this is what he wanted from the very start. A Separation.
"YES." I told him. Sinigurado kong matigas yung pagkakasabi ko. Dun naman ako magaling eh. mag-poker face at maging insensitive.
He painted an unreaching smile. Tapos nakita kong parang teary eyed na siya tapos bigla siyang umiling. Then, he walked away.
Napaiyak na ako the moment he turned around. Yumuko ako tapos napansin ko na suot-suot ko pa rin yung strawberry stringed shoes na binigay niya. I broke down, I was crying heavily. Then I laughed. I look crazy. Pero anong magagawa ko. I got what I wanted but not what I needed.
"You will never reallyunderstand." I said. Inangat ko yung ulo ko at pinanood siyang lumayo.
