CHAPTER THREE- WHAT A TOOL

OFFICIALLY making it through my first day of school I quickly pushed open the apartment door, finding Daniel sitting on the couch with a bag of chips in his hands. "How was your first day," I said opening up the fridge immediately. Skipping lunch in turn was not the best idea. "How do u think it went." He urged in sounding down. I only shut the fridge door in defeat.

"Shitty.." I muttered back to him. He only clicked his teeth and gave me a sarcastic smile. "Right on, you just won the lottery."

"What all happened," I asked him and he only raised his hand to wave me off. "Not much really could have been worse, there just everywhere. Soccer tryouts are tomorrow though, excited about that." He said sounding a little more happier. "Well that's good, hopefully, they go well. Are they after school?" I asked him grabbing some bread from a kitchen drawer.

"Yeah actually right after, Ali and her friends have cheer practice? You should come around and watch a few. Maybe even join them she said they're short on girls." He said trying to sound happy but he knew I wouldn't go for it. He only huffed at my face. "I know you're not that type of person, maybe just stop by and watch!" He tried to convince me.

"I'll stop by and watch, no promises I'll stay the whole time," I said back to him, his face instantly lit up. Back in Jersey both of our parents weren't there to support her in are sports and since Eastwood High School didn't have a gymnastics team I was left spotless. Although I had gotten kicked off the team a month back before we moved I still loved the sport.

"Thanks, Cher, I'll be counting on you!" He said flipping through the shows on the tv and leaving it on MTV, where the loud intro began to play. "You know mom gonna be home any minute, you're already on thin ice! Wait till she sees you eating chips and blasting the TV on her new couch!" I laughed out loud.

"Hey, I won't tell as long as you don't tell?" He shrugged his shoulders quickly slouching back down on the couch. I only nodded at the back of his head. I grabbed some peanut butter and some jelly and quickly spread some on each slice of the bread. I didn't even care how messy it had looked I felt like I was starving.

I sat down on an armchair beside Daniel as we both watched over the TV. Madonna herself was the guest star on this episode. It had to have been a re-run because it felt like I had watched this episode a million times.

After I finished my sandwich I got up from being lazy and I decided I would take a look around the town. I asked Daniel if he wanted to join me but he merely just shrugged me off while I walked out the door, as he was too busy being engulfed in the television.

I didn't know where I was going to go but I just began walking and after a while, I found myself on a very nice side of town. The houses were all in line either white or a light grey, with flowers decorated all around it.
