"Can you... give me some time to think about it, All Might?" The old man in front of me whom he called himself as All Might, surprisingly, seemed taken aback by my question. He pursed his lips in deep contemplation before nodding, hesitantly.
I immediately left that place, deep in my thoughts. There was really no way he was All Might with that scrawny figure. It was hard to believe, or maybe, even impossible. What he said was also unbelievable.
I was still gathering information about Izuku Midoriya. Looking at my current progress, there was still a lot that I didn't know about the greenette. One of these was his interaction between that weird-looking man which he calls himself All Might. Should I believe such bluff?
Though, I didn't know what they talked about. Seeing that All Might mentioned about saving some boy, I presumed it was something regarding a villain incident.
Entering the Bakugo household in which I was still unfamiliar with, I spotted Mrs. Bakugo preparing breakfast on the dining table, as well as Kacchan who just got out from the bathroom with a bathing towel covering his lower body.
"Good morning, Mom and...Kacchan." I greeted them. Learning how Izuku called Katsuki was probably one of the most useful pieces of information I had gathered. And likewise, I also learned how Katsuki calls the original Izuku.
Mrs. Bakugo seems to anticipate my arrival. The moment she saw me, she instantly asked me a question. "Where have you been, Izuku?"
"Oh, I was out for a jog." I force out a smile.
Mrs. Bakugo seemed surprised. "Jog?" She inquired me again with wariness in her voice as if...she didn't believe me. On the other hand, Katsuki was just standing like a statue at the entrance of the bathroom, looking at me in shock, but immediately hiding it off with an irritated look.
"What's with the look? Am I not allowed to exercise?"
"N-No," Mrs. Bakugo raised her hands in defense. "It's not that, it's just...we didn't expect to see so many changes within you, Izuku."
It was either good changes, or bad changes. "What can I say, some people do really change after being pushed too far."
Mrs. Bakugo just laughed it off and went back to the kitchen. "You should take a shower now. I'll give you a ride to your new school. It's a bit far from Aldera though, so you should hurry up."
"Okay~" I cooed almost playfully, intentionally brushing my shoulders to Kacchan as we both walked upstairs. He seemed angry and annoyed about it, grunting like a grumpy old man before lightly pushing me off the stairs. I nearly fell in the process.
"Katsuki! What did I tell you about leaving the water open again!" Mrs. Bakugo angrily shouted from below.
"Don't tell me what to do, old hag!" Kacchan bursted almost instantly, shutting the doors behind him closed.
I couldn't help but chuckle. Was this the daily interaction inside the Bakugo household? It was surprising to think that a nerdy, weak person like Izuku managed to even survive a day here, seeing that the Bakugos were a menace. Though, not literally.
~ A few hours later...
After arriving home from my new school, I immediately changed to a more casual attire; the hoodie that I wore earlier, and a red jogging pant. I was more comfortable with my own sense of fashion, seeing that both Izuku and I were different in terms of clothing.
I finally decided what to respond to that weird man which he calls himself All Might. It was hard to decide at first, but there was some sort of attraction from him that made me unable to deny as Kylin. If I were the real Izuku, I would've accepted the moment he offered his preposition.
However, was it really possible to transfer a quirk to another individual? It was hard to believe, especially if it was a quirk belonging to not just somebody, but the symbol of peace at that matter.
I stood in the pile of junkyards, looking around as I searched for that man. What if he left and was not coming back? I was stupid enough to actually think that he would wait for literally eight hours in a junkyard just for me.Thankfully, he did. I found his scrawny body sleeping comfortably over a broken refrigerator.
"Wow. Didn't you say you were the one and only All Might?" I muttered out loud, making sure that he would wake up as I sat on a broken tire.
"Urk! Huh? Wha- What?" He jolted up, fully awake and in a daze, looking around to find the source of the voice until landing on me.
"Young Bakugo? How long have you been sitting there?" He asked in a gruffy tone, rubbing his eyes before taking a moment to process his surroundings.
"You really have nothing to do, huh?"
"That's not it." He defended. "I actually just got here a few minutes ago. Unfortunately, I fell asleep."
I stood up, standing beside him. I gave him a light tap at the back and decided to climb on top of the mountains of junk. "About what you said...were you lying?"
The old man looked offended badly. "I don't lie in serious matters, Young Bakugo. I know it's hard to process it all, seeing that you're very confused." He laughed playfully.
I couldn't help but sigh in disbelief. This man was really suspicious.
"I wasn't confused, although a little. I am incredulous. How can I know that you're not some fraud?" I said sternly.
"What?!" He shouted in disbelief.
"Even some four-year old would see through your lie." I look at him, my face contorting to a dubious look. He started looking around in search of something, before letting out a deep breath.
"Have you forgotten?" Suddenly, thick smoke started engulfing him, just like earlier. I couldn't help but contort in interest. Was he transforming?
A few seconds later, a large, bulky figure emerged from the smoke, catching me off guard. One thing popped out of my mind, he was packed with muscle, and was grinning so wide and lively.
"Ah, so you aren't lying." I looked at him from head to toe, gurgling at how unreal the situation was. It was honestly so bizarre to stand besides the number one pro hero of Japan. What was there to not be surprised about? Though, I tried my best not to act irrationally.
"Still can't get over at the shift? HA HA HA HA HA." His iconic laugh filled the junkyard.
So it was true that Izuku met All Might. With that as a fact, what did they talk about?
"Have you decided, now, Young Bakugo?"
If that's true, then the inheriting thing was all true too?
This all feel so contradicting. No matter how certain I was, my words would always bite me back. I couldn't believe what I was getting into.
However, driven with the determination to justify, even if it means I would act as an impostor and deceive everyone, I wanted the real Izuku to have a meaningful death.
"Okay."
And so, this was the very moment where I started to overexert myself in order to become a hero.
