Dear Diary,
It's a while since I've wrote in here and I think this is the perfect thing to write about. The last time I wrote was the night before I auditioned for that pop group. I never wrote if I got it or not, but I did and we're called Steps. The people in the group with me are so nice, I couldn't have imagined a better group of people. The reason I'm writing is because I sort of fell in love with one of my bandmates.
Faye Tozer. The beautifulest, bubbliest, funniest, stupidest, sexiest woman on the planet. She is all-around perfection. I finally got enough guts to ask her out on a date. She said yes, which shocked me but there you have it. I have fallen head over heels for this woman and I've only known her for a few months. I'm taking her out to the cinema and for some fish and chips. I can't really afford much else, but she told me it sounded like the perfect first date. I'm kinda worried to take her out. But I'm hoping it goes well. I will write about how it went tomorrow.

Claire closed her diary, putting it in the drawer of the bedside table. Now to decide on what to wear. It was a casual date, going to the cinema. They were going to see A Thousand Acres. A new film that had just come out. It had Michelle Pfeiffer in it and that's all Claire needed to know to convince Faye to go. Turns out they both loved Michelle Pfeiffer as much as each other. She looked in her wardrobe and settled on being comfortable. Jeans, a comfy t-shirt and a jumper, just in case it was cold. There was a promise of nice weather, but you can never rely on British weather. She contemplated putting on makeup, but from what she'd heard the film was a very emotional one, so makeup probably wasn't a great idea.
Meanwhile, Faye had been pacing around her bedroom. When it came to decisions regarding clothes, she failed miserably at them most of the time. Eventually deciding on a jumper and a long skirt, also opting against makeup. She was almost ready, just blow-drying her hair as she'd had a shower before getting ready. Faye wanted to look her best for Claire. Faye had spent her afternoon worrying about making a good impression. She may already know Claire but this was a date, a new impression of somebody in a more romantic manner, she didn't want to mess this up for either of them. Finally finished drying and styling her hair, she heard a knock at the door. Running down the stairs, grabbing her bag on the way just like an excited child.
Faye straightened herself up, rubbing out the creases in her skirt before opening the door. Claire stood there in front of her and she looked gorgeous. "Hi," Faye smiled, "Hi," Claire replied, "You look gorgeous," she said, Claire instantly blushing at the comment, "You don't look too bad yourself," she answered. They both smiled at each other. Silently, Claire moved out of the way so that Faye could get to the car. Faye locked the door to her house and got into Claire's car. Claire followed swiftly after her. "Got any music in here?" Claire nodded opening the glove box, giving Faye some music options. She looked through and took one out, putting it in the cd player.
The music started playing and Claire instantly relaxed. She started to drive and hoped that this night would go as well as she intended it to. "Do you want to get food first and then a film or film then food?" she asked Faye, not taking her eyes off the road to look at the blonde next to her. Faye stopped humming along to the music to answer Claire, "Uh food then film," she answered, Claire nodded and she parked outside of the chippy. They went in, ordered their food and got back in the car to eat. The only voice in the car, while they ate, was that on the cd that was still playing. Faye finished her food way before Claire did, so when Claire wasn't looking, Faye would sneak one of her chips and act like nothing happened. "Did you steal my food?" Claire asked, looking at Faye, "What?" she said, her words muffled by the fact that she was eating. "I don't know what you are talking about," she laughed.
They both fell into fits of laughter and spent the next 10 minutes just laughing and joking. Claire noticed the time and then had to stop herself from laughing. "We need to go or we'll be late to the film," she said, putting her seatbelt back on. Faye put hers on as well and Claire started driving to the cinema. "I'm so excited to see this film," Faye said, "Me too, I love Michelle Pfeiffer," Claire responded. They finally got to the cinema, bought their tickets and popcorn and pop and sat down to enjoy the film. At moments when it was sad, neither of them had really noticed how they both held hands to comfort each other. The film was a good film, Michelle Pfeiffer was great and neither of them knew Jessica Lange was in it so that was always a really attractive bonus.
They walked out of the cinema looking like messes and as they were getting out, it started to rain. "Oh come on," Claire complained, Faye started laughing, "What? Running around in the rain is fun," she said, running over to the car. Claire ran as fast as she could over there, "We're not running around in the rain," Claire said firmly, trying to find her keys in her bag, Faye pulled her by the arm, "Dance with me in the rain then," she said, putting her arms around Claire's neck. Claire rolled her eyes, and pulled Faye's arms off of her, "We'll get hypothermia," she said, still looking for the keys, "Please," Faye said, wrapping her arms around Claire's waist, Claire almost melted at the touch, she eventually gave up on trying to fight her and gave in to Faye.
They stood there, in the empty car park just the two of them, Claire had her arms around Faye's neck and Faye had hers around Claire's waist and they just stood there in the rain. Faye smiled at Claire and it melted her heart. She didn't know if it was really the appropriate thing to do on a first date, but at this moment, she didn't care. Claire leaned in close and kissed Faye with the softest kiss she'd ever given. Worried for how Faye would react, she pulled away quickly, "Sorry," she said, letting go of Faye entirely. She went into her bag, got out her keys and opened the car when she felt a tap on her shoulder. She turned around and Faye kissed her. Claire had her back pushed against the car door and Faye was kissing her, Faye pulled away "I didn't mind, I liked it," she smiled at Claire, getting in the other side of the car.
They drove back to Faye's house. Claire walked with Faye up to her front door. "I had a lot of fun," Faye said, before opening her door. "Me too," Claire smiled, "Same time next week?" Faye asked, Claire just nodded. Faye kissed her again, "Bye," she said before walking inside the house, "Bye," Claire managed to get out before walking back to her car. She drove home, smiling as she thought only of how it felt to kiss Faye.

Dear Diary,
Last night was probably the best first date I've ever been on. It went better than perfect. Well besides the weather but if the weather hadn't gone haywire, I wouldn't have kissed Faye. Yes, I kissed Faye. I kissed the most perfect woman to walk planet Earth, and she told me she'd love to go on another date with me. I almost collapsed when she asked. I don't think I've felt this happy for a long time.
