The crowd cheered as Marty Gilbert stepped up onto the first place podium after she was picked as the first place winner for the end of year science fair.Elena and Matt were standing side by side cheering the girl on with big smiles shown on their faces.
Marty has been involved in her school since she was in 8th grade and was continuing her winning career with another first place win.
Marty made history her freshman year when she was the youngest student to become class president for the school in history.
She was excited that she ended her sophomore year with another victory and couldn't wait to celebrate it with her family when she got home.
"We're so proud of you honey!" Miranda Gilbert held out her hands for a hug which Marty practically ran into.
"Thanks mom." Marty smiled and pulled away so she could hug her dad who was standing right next to her mom.
"My daughter is the next Albert Einstein." John Gilbert whipped a fake tear causing Marty to laugh and punched her dads shoulder playfully.
"Aww my baby brother came to support me?" Marty gasped as she placed a hand on her heart making Jeremy roll his eyes at his sister.
"Shut up." Jeremy laughed out, but gave Marty a side hug anyways to show his support.
He would never say he was proud of what she's accomplished, but showing up to her events was enough for Marty to know he cares.
"Where's Elena?" Marty asked wondering where Elena went as she just saw Elena and Matt when she went up to get her award.
"She went to that end of year party." Jeremy informed his sister. "She said that she would be waiting for you there if you decide to go."
Marty nodded her head. She really wasn't one for party's and didn't want to start on the night she was supposed to play games and eat pizza with her family.
"Pepperoni pizza with pineapple?" Marty clasps her hands together and turned to look at her parents.
The parents side eye each other knowing that their daughter didn't have great taste in pizza, but she deserved it.
They nodded their head and the Gilbert family minus Elena left the school for pizza and game night.

"What? What's going on?" Marty groaned awake when she felt someone shake her shoulder.
"It's mom and dad." Jeremy cried out as he started pacing around the brunette's room. "The-they got in a car accident and-" Jeremy couldn't speak in full sentences to try and tell his sister what happened.
Marty threw her covers off and jumped up to hug her little brother and started leading him downstairs to where Sheriff Forbes was standing by the door.
"Sheriff Forbes." Marty spoke up as the two siblings reach the bottom step.
Sheriff Forbes looked down before leading them outside and to her squad car where she ended up taking the siblings to the hospital.
Jeremy was crying as he laid his head on Marty's shoulder causing her to wrap an arm around the younger boy to comfort him.
"Elena?" Marty asked like she was almost afraid to hear what the answer was going to be.
"She's shaken up but she's gonna be okay." Sheriff Forbes informed the girl to which she nodded her head in response.
This was the night everything changed for the Gilbert family.
