Tamao stared at her in disbelief. He teared up, and he didn't even try to hide it. "Are you okay?" she said, but Tamao interrupted her. "No, I'm not! I actually loved you, and you don't believe me? What kind of friend are you!?" Tamao yelled. A teacher yelled for him to sit down and be quiet, but he did the exact opposite of that. "Well -" Sakura started. "Not my friend, that's the kind you are." He snarled and ran away.

In the bathroom, he managed not to cry. He just sat and thought about life. What was the meaning of life? He thought. Maybe it was to have a successful job or have a healthy relationship with someone. Obviously, the second theory wasn't working out for him. Then, he heard Fern's voice. "Hey, Tamao, are you okay?" She said. "I'm fine. Go away," Tamao growled. "Is it okay if I come in?" She said. Tamao sighed. "I guess," he said back. She entered the bathroom. Even though it was a boy's bathroom, Tamao went into a girl's bathroom for her. He knew she was always going to be by his side. "You know, I'm always here if you need a hug," she said. Then, he cried. "Aw, it's okay," he said. She hugged him. After a while of talking out his feelings, Fern began to leave. "Wait, don't go," Tamao said. "Why?" She said. "Well, there's one more thing you should know." He said. Fern walked back to him. Then, he kissed her. Fern looked at him, blushing. She hugged him. "Anyways, wanna come over later after school?" Tamao said. "Sure," Fern said excitedly. "Okay, here's my address." Tamao informed, giving it to her. "Thanks," she said as she walked out. You're welcome, Tamao thought.
