˚ '☕️⋆˚ LORELAI GILMORE SWEARS RYAN CASSIDY IS HER KID. Not by looks or personality or any other genes or qualities children would inherit from their parents. She simply thinks that the dirty blonde boy somehow developed in her uterus for 35 weeks and she spent twelve hours in labor all because he shared the same coffee addiction as her. Here both of them stood, begging Luke to get them a cup of coffee, even though the both of them have already had a few cups and Luke was onto them.

"Please Luke. Please, please, please." Lorelai begged.

"How many cups have you two had today?"

"None." Both Lorelai and Ryan respond at the same time.

"Plus."

"Five, but yours is better." Lorelai gave in.

"And you?"

"None. Really." Ryan lied, he didn't have five cups, he had three, so still not as bad as Lorelai in his book.

"You have a problem." Luke said looking at Lorelai.

"Yes, I do." Lorelai took Ryan's mug out of his hands and held out her own towards Luke.

Luke sighed and took both mugs, pouring a fresh pot of coffee in them. "Junkie." He muttered.

"Angel." Lorelai countered. She wrapped an arm around Ryan. "You've got wings baby." And the two walked to their table to wait for Rory and Jessie.

Ryan's mom, (aka, the very amazing woman who raised him all by herself) had to run to her office and said she'd meet them at Luke's, but really her job wouldn't let her leave once she got there. Jessie's a real-estate agent and god forbid she had a day off from work with out the workplace going up in flames.

As Ryan sipped his coffee he noticed a man in a thick plaid jacket approaching them. His eyes furrowed before noticing the man's gaze on Lorelai. Of course. The boy thought to himself, he had to sit through another man trying to flirt with his 'second mother'.

"You make that look really good." The man said.

"Oh, it is really good. It's the best coffee in town." Lorelai replies and Ryan hums in agreement.

"Oh, yeah? I'll have to get a cup." The guy nods back over to the counter.

"Good plan."

"Yeah, I've never been here before. Just, uh, passing through on my way to Hartford-"

"No one asked for your life story man." Ryan cut in. The guy looked his way as if he hadn't seen him there before.

"Ryan, be nice." Lorelai said before turning back towards the man. "Hartford huh? You're a regular Jack Kerouac."

"Yeah. You mind if I sit down?"

"Oh, you know what? Actually we're meeting someone so I..." Lorelai's sentence trailed off as her eyes observed over the man's movements, he helped himself to a chair and leaned on his forearms, facing the young woman.

"I'm Joey." He smiled.

"Can't take a hint." Ryan mumbled.

"Hm?"

"Nothing Joey." Ryan finished his last sip of coffee before standing. "Imma go down to my moms office. So I don't have to watch this."

As Ryan exited Luke's he considered turning right back around because of Stars Hollows freezing weather.

"Ryan, where you going?" Ryan spun around to find his best friend Rory Gilmore. She was walking towards him from across the street and all he could think about was how perfect she looked. Her cheeks were all red and her blue eyes seemed to be emphasized by the cold. She wore one of her favorite sweaters, the cream colored fisherman's one. It also happened to be one of his favorites, but only on her.
