My fingers graze over the fragile flowers, gently plucking at the petals of the fresh Plumeria bouquet.

Suddenly, my ears pick up the sound of restrained footsteps. As if the person didn't want to be noticed. Then, I hear a knock at the door. I quickly set the flowers down, and tightened the straps of my silk gown as I sped walked to the door, wary by nature.

Who could possibly knock on my door an hour before my wedding?

The brass door knob chilled my hand, sending a shiver up my arm.

The oak door opened to reveal Jennie leaning against the door frame, wearing her wedding shirt, a couple of her top buttons undone.

"Hey..." She smiles as her eyes meet mine.

"What are you doing here? You shouldn't be here." I say as her arms reach around mine in a loving embrace.

Her chin rested on my forehead as she said, "I needed to see you." I couldn't help but smile.

"You're gonna get to see me in an hour." I laughed as she snuggled into my hair.

"I know but I wanted to see you alone."

I can't help but raise my eyebrows. "Oh?"

She pulls back to give me a look; a smirk played on my lips.

She leans down, giving me a chaste kiss.

It seems my face is giving away my displeasure of the shortness of the kiss.

"I'm saving it for the altar," she teases, giving me that lovesick smile while her eyes seem to dance with amusement.

"Go on, we both have to get ready." I shooed. She gave me one last smile before she moved out of the room. I feel one resting on my lips, with no sign of leaving.

I get to marry that woman.

After a few moments in my wistful state, I check the time. A realisation being that it managed to run away.

A tendency when it comes to Jennie.

I hurried to put on my gorgeous white dress.

As I shimmied, I watched the gorgeous fabric fall perfectly on my figure.

Although simple, I'd always wanted something elegant and refined.

I can't help but smile at my image in the mirror.

She looks so happy.

Her smile seems the biggest I've ever seen.

I'd never thought that I'd get married, sure I'd the Pinterest board of what type of wedding I wanted and thought about the dream wedding scenario but I never truly thought that I would get married. Never mind a woman like Jennie. She is honestly the best woman I've ever known.

Sure she can be stubborn and far too daring for her own good but she'd do anything and everything for those she loves.

Things are different now; with far less guests and less luxury and even though it's not the traditional wedding I thought I'd have, it's still more perfect than I could imagine.

I hear someone's fingers rap against the door. This time I knew it's Dad, after all I had asked him to walk me down the aisle.

I open the door and let him in before I resume fixing pieces of my hair. Jennie had always made the point of saying my hair always looked good but I like it down so as a compromise it's half up and down.

"I have to say, Y/N you look beautiful," Dad says.

"Thank you Dad." I reached out to give him a heartfelt hug which he welcomed.

"Come on, we've got a wedding to attend!" He does some kind of dance with that grin where the corners of his eyes crease. I laugh as I put the final touches of adding a few flowers into my hair.

My heart immediately jumped up to my throat as we left my room, the door shutting with a creak. As the music struck up, I couldn't help but feel my heart beat harder.

I peaked around the corner to see, seeking some reassurance and relief. She looks so Beautiful in her suit.

I can tell she's nervous as she shifts her weight to each foot and is fiddling with her fingers.

I can tell that Lisa picks up on this, as she's making some joke. Jennie makes some attempt to laugh but it's somewhat strained.

I gave Dad's arm a squeeze as he began to lead me down the aisle.

With each step, my heart beat harder and harder. I could feel our guests turn to look at me but my gaze was firmly focused on Jennie's face.

As soon as she saw my face, her expression lit up and tears started to surface.

Her eyes never strayed from mine.

I can't help but feel relief as this moment was so long-awaited and it's finally happening.

We get to marry our soulmate.

As soon as we reached Jennie, she didn't waste any time taking my hands in hers, giving them a firm squeeze. Her touch is as warm and comforting as always.

Easing the nerves slightly.

The service seemed to go by in a blur. But the most important parts will be forever ingrained into my memory.

"Do you Jennie Ruby Jane Kim take Y/n Y/m/n Y/Ln to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do." Jennie's hands gripped mine tighter.

"And do you Y/n Y/m/n Y/Ln  take Jennie Ruby Jane Kim to be your lawfully wedded wife?"

"I do," I squeeze Jennie's hands just as tight.

"I now pronounce you Wife and Wife!"

As the words left the ordinator's mouth, cheers erupted from our guests.

My gaze runs over our families.

I feel the excitement radiating off my bridesmaids behind me.

Jennie reaches forward, gently picking the flower up.

Her fingers gently graze my cheek as she places it on my left ear.

She tucks a piece of hair behind it before she lifts my chin, and her lips meet mine.

Their cheers seem to fade as I lean into the kiss. Jennie deepens the kiss as one hand is firmly placed on the small of my back and the other secured around the back of my neck. I feel her smirk before she moves my body backwards into a dip. I patted her chest to get her to pull me back up to a standing position.

I pulled back, much to her dismay. Even on my wedding day, I don't want to be too cringy with all the PDA.

I link my arm with hers as she leads me down the aisle. The guests throwing flower petal confetti I lean in close so only she can hear.

"Save it for later."
