Omniscient
Phoenix, ArizonaThree. Three weeks. It's been three long weeks since Deonte got shot.
No one knew he got shot, somehow they managed to not tell a soul what happened that night.
Why? Because the situation was fucked, it was a fucked up situation.
Getting shot is something almost everyone in this 'profession' has to deal with. Even Deonte knew that.
Yet, you never really prepare yourself to get shot until it actually happens.
"Remember," Deonte thought. 'Remember' was in the back of his mind the whole night, 'Remember'. It was the 'Remember' Drako had told D5 and Kristian. But for him, the 'remember' was a reminder of everything he was getting himself into.
"Remember," Drako said, before walking away from D5 and Kristian.
Deonte traveled behind Drako, sticking to his side as he said. But he did more than follow him, he did almost everything Drako did.
Drako sat down, and so did Deonte. Drako asked for a drink, and so did Deonte. Shit, Drako went to piss, and so did he.
Deonte continued to walk behind Drako, following his every turn and stop.
He continued to follow Drako until he stopped at the dining area in the building.
They found a small booth in the corner of the area and sat there waiting for a waiter to address them.
"Nice to see you again, boys," a white lady said, she was the same white lady from the door, the one who let them in.
Drako said nothing and just stared at her. Deonte said nothing as well, looking at everything but her.
She pulled out her notepad, embarrassed. "W-what can I get you, boys? We don't serve meals here but we serve appetizers. What can I get for y'all?" she rambled, nervously.
Drako continued to stare at her for a minute, then he spoke. "Get anything with cheese and bread. And give us four shots of Vodka." he continued to stare her down.
She nodded, scribbling on the notepad. She then looked at Deonte, waiting for him to say want he wanted, but he didn't. He continued to stare everywhere else.
Sighing, she put the notepad in her apron saying, "I'll be back with y'all's drinks," and walked away.
They stayed quiet from the time she left to the time she came back. Deonte continued to stare at nothing, in particular, Drako decided to do the same.
"Here's y'all's drinks. Foods coming." she set the drinks down and walked away after speaking.
She decided to stop the small talk, knowing they weren't going to talk back.
"Hea'," Drako said, sliding a shot to Deonte. "Take it."
Deonte turned his head to the shot, trying to figure out why it was in front of him, even though Drako told him what to do with it.
