- He grabbed a pen from the pencil holder and ties the balloon string around it, and sets the pen back in its rightful spot, while the balloon floated in the air.
He meets my eyes and again and says "I can't have beautiful women laughing at me now can I?", a bright charming smile came over his features as he said that. I laugh nervously and look away avoiding eye contact, he just complimented me, if my cheeks weren't on fire they definitely are now, it made my head spin.
He then started conversation with me, he spoke to me in a freely manner and I responded with the same energy. My nervousness had calmed down and I felt relaxed and laid back as we spoke. It felt so natural and peaceful, we were consumed into the conversation with each other.
I'm not sure when or how we got to the topic but we were sharing some early childhood memories, with giggles and smiles. But at last all good things must come to and end, my heart dropped to my stomach.
Outside the window I see a police car, it was parking in the parking lot. Soren seemed to notice my change in behavior and his eyes followed my line of eyesight. His eyes widen and I hear him mutter a fuck. "Everly listen, I know you don't really know me but go hide, I will explain in a moment." He told me in a calm and collected tone, while gently dragging me along, taking me into one of the patients rooms. He pushed me inside and said a few reassuring words before he locked me inside with such a rush. I stood their shocked and speechless in the locked room, I could hear the sound of a old man snoring behind me, a patient.
I don't know why but I felt like I could trust Soren. But why the hell were the cops here? Their was no way they could possibly know right? Maybe the God's were torturing me agian, I regret ever laughing at the damned cursed balloon they were probably punishing me for it. I so badly wish they would go and screw with some other fucker, haven't I been through enough?
