George was finally going to move in with Clay. He had dreamed about that for ages, and finally it was happening. He was on a cruise ship to Florida, preparing to meet his best friend. He felt so nervous, especially since he didn't know what he looks like. How was he supposed to find him?

As he looked around, he saw a pretty island and decided to take a picture of it. He zoomed in as much as he could, even leaning farther outside of the railing as if it helped. However, he soon found out that it was a very bad idea. He lost his grip on his phone, and when he tried reaching it, he lost his balance and fell overboard.

He wasn't sure how he managed to survive, since he wasn't an experienced diver. He would probably die if he wasn't was smart enough to change his position into a pencil dive and cover his nose. When he reached the surface of the water, he yelled for help, but nobody could hear him over the loud propeller at the back of the cruise ship.

After a minute of calling for help and swimming towards the ship, George realized it was useless. He looked around and found a floating piece of wood in the direction of the island. He swam towards it and grabbed onto it for dear life.

Jesus Christ that was some sort of an adventure.

He tried paddling towards the island, but he was too tired after all that swimming. He got comfortable on the wood and the waves drifted him into sleep.

He was woken up by what he thought to be waves, but appeared to be someone carrying him out of the water. Then he felt being put down on the ground.

"Hey? Can you hear me?" A man's voice filled his ears. George slowly opened his eyes, and coughed up some water. He saw someone kneeling beside him. "Yeah." George answered in a raspy voice.

He noticed that the man that was pretty tall, and then he saw his face. His dirty blonde hair was slightly swaying in the wind and his hazel eyes seemed to be shimmering from the warm sunset. He realized that he was staring and sat up to break the eye contact.

"Okay, so... Um... How did you end up on that piece of wood just floating in the distance?" Asked the guy.

"Yeah, that was kind of dumb. I was on a cruise ship to Florida and I dropped my phone, but when I tried catching it I... Well... Didn't succeed." George answered.

"Oh really?" The guy snickered.

"That's not funny!" George protested.

"Okay, okay." He said. "Why were you going to Florida?"

"I was just visiting a friend." George replied, realizing that all his stuff was still on the cruise ship.

"That makes sense." The guy said.

"Wait, where are we right now?" George questioned. He noticed that the guy's smile dropped.

"We are on an island... Stuck." He said.

"How did YOU end up here?" George asked, really curious.

"Well... I was going on vacation to the south, but... There was an accident. My yacht exploded." Said the guy.

"Wait, what?" George thought aloud.

"I guess the gasoline tank blew up or something. At least it blew me into the water, so I survived with minor injuries. But one of my friends, the navigator of the yacht, was at the helm... And he- he-" The guy stuttered.

George gulped. "...died?" He asked, shakily. The guy nodded.

"I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have asked." George apologized. He thought what he would do if Clay would die. He couldn't loose him. Somewhere deep inside, he knew that he loved him more than a best friend, but he wasn't admitting it to himself. Besides, how could he love someone who he hasn't even seen in real life?
