As she continued training, Sia kept losing focus. She kept falling back down as she continued to dwell on the compliment Prince Carter had given her. Alas, Mr. Gorg shouted at her to focus or she won't get any dinner which got her to concentrate.
They practiced a couple more times until Sia could easily get herself to hover on air without any difficulty.
"Good job, kiddo. Yuh really are a fast learner. Now, ter fly in air is like swimmin in water. Air benders are linked with other three kinds of benders in some way or another. Now once yuh are hovering, push your hands on how yuh want ter move. If yuh want ter go up, push down. If you want ter go left, push right, like that. When yuh want ter get down, loosen your body like you're letting yourself sink for a soft landing."
She practiced moving in different directions. With each attempt, her movement got smoother. She was still finding a bit difficulty in landing and taking off again spontaneously. But again, Sia wasn't some superhuman who could master any skill at once. By now, it was afternoon, about 2:30 pm.
"That's it fer today, kiddo. You've done well. We will continue on smoothing your movements and maybe start on air defense" Mr. Gorg said as Sia thanked him and left.
As she made her way to the castle, she could see Martha waiting for her outside.
"How was Madam's first training session?" she asked her.
"It was good," Sia replied to her.
"Madam has missed lunch but not too worry. I shall bring her food to her chambers, as I believe Madam has done well."
As they were making their way back, Sia told Martha all about her first training session- how she had learned to fly so quickly, how Prince Carter had been watching her, and how friendly her trainer Mr. Gorg was.
Soon they reached Sia's bedroom. There she saw a platter of food set up for her. She thanked Martha and began eating as she was super hungry. As she was eating, she heard a knock on the door and asked the person to come in. It was a maid who hastily told Martha something, bowed to Sia and left.
"What did that girl tell you?" Sia asked Martha as she finished eating.
"The king has called for all the members of the quest to meet him in the chamber near the cellar" she replied.
Martha guided Sia to the chamber the king had called her in. When she entered, she not only found the other 3 warriors, but also the king along with- was that Mr. Dorman?
"Greetings, dear champions. I apologize for interrupting your day. But I wished to inform all of you something first. But before that- Sia, Mr. Gorg and Prince Carter told me all about your wonderful skill. You have done a good job," the king said with a very small hint of a smile.
Sia felt a bit shy being directly addressed and complimented by the king. She glanced to see Prince Carter smiling at her.
"Now, on a more serious note, you all know that you have been gathered because of a prophecy issued by The Oracle. Mr. Dorman will tell you the full prophecy and a small lead on your quest for when you begin."
Mr. Dorman nodded politely to the king and without saying anything else, took out a scroll and began to read out the prophecy.
"The princess lost in a land unknown,
Shall be discovered by 4 warriors in the land of thorn.
The first, a child of royalty shall strike
Causing the demons of darkness to return in fright.
Second, a daughter of hope shall rise,
And find out the truth, though belonging from the world left behind.
The third, a champion of fire shall help the distraught,
And bring victory unlike the others who fought.
Lastly, the healer shall save the life most important at all cost,
And unite the one who has been lost.
Alone, neither can achieve what they wish
But together, they will bring back for Eden the bliss."
When Mr. Dorman finished reading the prophecy, the king once again began to speak.
"Now all of you know why we required particularly each one of you to go on this quest. It may be translated differently, but Lady Yora believes this is the correct interpretation, and she most of the time is right. Now, Mr. Dorman the other news."
"We have discovered that the ancient Laira is missing, more likely kidnapped. We believe that this is connected to the Princess's disappearance. Maybe who is behind this has come to know that we have finally gathered the ones who can bring back the princess. Which is why, we believe that you should start by visiting the kingdom of Forlight to investigate where the Laira is. She can certainly help you find the Princess," Mr. Dorman concluded.
Sia was confused. Who was the Laira? Should she ask now or ask Martha later? She decided on the latter as Martha knew a lot about The Land of The Elements. She should, have been a scholar, not a maid. And besides, she didn't want to embarrass herself.
All of them were left speechless. Sure, they had agreed to go on the quest but it had not felt real until now. They each had an important role to play.
After they were dismissed, Sia went straight to Martha who was waiting for her. Once they were in a deserted corridor, Sia decided to ask Martha.
"Martha, who is the Laira?" she asked her. Hearing these 5 words, Martha expression changed into surprise.
"What makes Madam ask this question," Martha asked her.
"Well apparently, she is missing."
