Evie paces back and forth across the room, struggling to wrap her mind around the revelations Mal has just shared with her.

"E, I love you, but seriously, sit down. You're giving me a headache," Mal complains, her frustration evident. Evie lets out a sigh and reluctantly takes a seat on her bed.

"I'm sorry, Mal. It's just... it's hard for me to process all of this. And I promised not to spill the beans about her. You know how terrible I am at keeping secrets!" She bites her nails nervously, her anxiety palpable.

Mal's expression softens slightly. "Listen, you can confront her about this yourself if you want. But you have to believe that I have no reason to lie to you. And come on, a promise from a villain? Since when do we stick to promises?" The purple-haired girl crosses her arms, raising an eyebrow skeptically.

"But, you know, I blackmailed her for this. So, please, don't tell anyone else what we know, not even Jay and Carlos," Evie pleads with a serious tone. Mal narrows her eyes, curious.

"Why keep it from them? They're our friends," Mal questions, slightly puzzled. Evie's gaze intensifies as she speaks.

"If she finds out that we spilled her secret, my mirror will be confiscated. So, at least until we secure the wand, let me keep my mirror safe with me. Back to the Evil Queen, you know." Evie's determination is evident in her words. Mal lets out a frustrated groan.

"Look, girl, don't worry. We'll get that wand, no doubt about it. But right now, you need to calm down. And so what if Jay and Carlos know? If we can get our hands on that wand, you can have whatever your heart desires," Mal reasons. Evie looks down at her hands, her expression still marked by worry. Mal walks over to her friend and rubs her back reassuringly.

"Your mirror isn't going anywhere, Evie. I promise you that. But maybe we should consider telling the others. We could use this information to our advantage," Mal suggests. Evie's response is immediate and vehement.

"No!" she exclaims, burying her face in her hands. Mal raises an eyebrow in surprise, puzzled by Evie's reaction.

"I know I said I'm here to help you get your happily ever after, but right now, my focus is solely on that wand. I told you about this because I want to support you, E. However, if your personal feelings start to distract us from our mission, we're in trouble. Just remember why we're here – to steal that wand," Mal says firmly, her voice carrying an edge of urgency. Evie's eyes blaze with anger, the tension between them growing palpable. It's then that Mal suddenly puts two and two together.

"Oh dear god, it's not just about the mirror, is it?" Mal whispers, her voice low and contemplative. Evie looks at her with glassy eyes, her lips tightly sealed to prevent herself from saying anything more. The room falls into an intense silence, broken only when Mal pulls Evie's collar. The gesture is unexpected, but it's clear that both girls are grappling with strong emotions. "Evie, it has only been like what, two days? Seriously?!"

Finally, Evie breaks the silence. "I... I don't want to betray her trust, M. And believe it or not, I actually kind of like her." She admits, closing her eyes tightly. Mal clenches her jaw, looking away, her own feelings and thoughts in turmoil.

Mal rubs her temples, a migraine forming. "Evie, what the hell? That girl has barely interacted with us! She has no likable quality either! This is too fast. You fell way too fast."

Evie jumps back a tad from her best friend's loud voice. She seem to have angered the witch's daughter, but what bothered her is that she could not deny the truthfulness of her words. She could not understand it either, it felt like a string pulling her to the mystery of the icy princess. Evie bites her lip in frustration. Just as the intensity of their conversation starts to rise, their dorm room is suddenly invaded by two rowdy boys.
