Kate POV

It's just past midnight and I am listening to the radio.

"In other news, local authorities remain perplexed by the animal attacks plaguing Beacon Hills..." The Radio Announcer said as I scoffed and chuckled under my breath amused by the ignorance of the town's officials, before reaching out to turn the station to music instead of radio. As I drove away I touched up my lip gloss, paying half of my attention to the road.

I continued down the road patting my fingers against the steering wheel and bobbed my head along with the music. I feel something is following me and so become on high alert and look around the streets.

I turn around the other way one last time to be certain, returning to face forward just in time to see that I'm about to run over a stop sign. A truck turning onto the perpendicular street squeals its tires as the driver hits the brakes and honks loudly, and I come to a screeching halt in my own vehicle as well. I take a deep breath, closing my eyes as I recover from the shock before opening and lightly thump my head on my headrest.

"Nice driving, Kate. Nice." I mutter under my breath.

I take one last breath and am about to start driving again when I hear something land on the roof of my SUV and  look up at the ceiling toward the source of the noise. Having just put the car in park, I am about to reach back with my right hand from the gear shift to the backseat when suddenly, a werewolf breaks the glass in the driver's door window and grabs my by the left arm, attempting to yank me outside. I immediately fight back and start trying to break free of its grip as I scream.

"No! No! No!" I screamed as I pulled away from the door so I can once again reach into the backseat and grab my shotgun, which I cock with one hand before shooting up through the ceiling of the car which seemingly grazed the werewolf, whose body was braced on it while hanging over to yank me out of the car.

This causes the werewolf to let go, allowing me to release my seatbelt and somersault out of the SUV, I aim my gun at the roof of the car, but upon seeing that the werewolf has since moved, I look around to try to find out where it's lurking. I stand to my feet and immediately start taunting the werewolf to lure it closer.

"Come on!" I shouted out.

When this didn't yield any action on the werewolf's part, I fire off  warning shot before repeating myself.

"COME ON!" I yelled even louder, cocking my gun again, allowing the empty shell to fall to the ground with a clinking noise as my eyes dart around, trying to find where the werewolf is hiding. I smile a little, making it clear that I'm getting a lot of enjoyment out of the hunt and chase.
