This tutorial is a medium level tutorial so I would recommend practicing your chains and slip knots before doing this.
After you learn how to single crochet you will basically be able to do your first ever project!
1 - For this you will need to chain atleast 20
2 - Poke your hook into the second last chain
3 - Yarn over and pull through one
4 -Yarn over again but this time pull through both
5 - Keep doing these steps and you will be able to complete one row
6 - After you complete one row make sure to chain one and then flip.
7 - Contine doing the steps and you will make a square or circle!
