hanbin glanced at the clock and back to the corner of his phone- the seconds that passed by felt much more slower than usual. he felt his stomach turn at the idea that something happened to hao.

despite everything he had done, even after lying in front of and to hao's face- hanbin still felt a sense of responsibility. hao was the one on his school grounds. he was the one that was supposed to be staying in the classroom. he was supposed to act as hao's supervisor, yet he sat helplessly not knowing what to do.

fifteen minutes. that was exactly what hao said, so why did the deadline increase two times more?

with a heavy heart, hanbin hesitantly clicked onto hao's contact. he was greeted with their previous messages, which made his heart sink even further than it did before.

fifteen minutes. hao told him to use that time for practicing, so why did hanbin use it for overthinking instead?

hanbin scrolled past some of the messages. wrapping his head around everything was so difficult- how did him and hao end up at this point?

hanbin knew he probably shouldn't have been around hao at all. texting him was already one thing, but heading to the convenience store together was way more.

after getting back to his senses and scrolling back to the latest text, he hovered his index over the call button.

hanbin shook his head in annoyance to his own thoughts- he didn't want to wonder too far for something that would last for such a short amount of time. he immediately clicked on the button, shutting his eyes in fear as he placed his phone's speaker by his ear.

a couple of seconds passed by as he listened to the ringing tone, softly tapping the edge of his shoe.

hanbin was about to hang up after thirty seconds of the phone rang. he pulled the phone away from his ear, deciding that hao was probably gonna come back anyways and he just looked like an embarrassment. he was about to end the call before the sound tone changed.

hanbin noticed this, recognizing the text now placed in his screen.

the phone call automatically ended afterwards, making hanbin whine as he put his phone back into his pocket.
