The Tree

Twilight fell over a gigantic sweeping oak tree sheltering a calm body of water below it, the grey clouds drift away from the dazzling light of the glorious moon as it shimmered above casting its gaze down to the pool below.

A lone figure appeared on top of the glimmering surface as the moon hovered above, breaking through the calm liquid without disturbing the waters peace. The figures silky black hair that rested just below his pointed ears untouched by the dew of the water. He slowly stepped off of the pool below him the surface remaining undisturbed.

His tanned, slender torso was covered by a array of leaves to appear like a thin tunic all sewn together, by the finest silk a silk worm could produce. His lower half was adorned in a rather similar fashion of sewn together leaves in the shape of a dainty pair of shorts. He had a small pair of luxurious wings that seemed to look metallic from a distance. This young man barely reaching into adulthood, had thick black hair that framed his face and piercing golden eyes that looked like they could see right through your soul.

He stood alone in the moonlit park the hue of twilight painting his soft features. He turned to the glorious oak tree before gripping the hard wood and beginning to climb his hands darting between turrets of wood clambering to the top of the magnificent tree. At the top of the tree lay another beautiful fae, this fae had a mess of soft blonde curly hair, fair skin and a slim build, his face was smooth, dazzling emerald eyes nestled between his soft cheeks dusted with peach fuzz. He had a kind look to his face and a beautiful fanged smile. A pair of large clear wings lay below him as he lay in the tree canopy
The emerald eyed male sat up hearing the taller male approach the smile that the latter found so beautiful breaking out on his face as he softly breathed out the dark haired boys name.

“Varian.....,” his eyes lit up with joy as Varian sat down next to him. “I was starting to think you weren’t coming” the blond boy had a soft Spanish accent that sounded like heaven as it fell upon Varian's ears.

“I was being cautious.....I can’t risk us being caught” their deep yet silky voice with no trace of a noticeable accent broke through the silence that had once again settled over the park. Not once did their lingering eyes break away from the blonde’s face.
“I’ve missed you” the blond softly whispered leaning closer to Varian.  Varian smiled and leaned in towards the blond gently raising a tan hand and cupping the pale boys cheek.

“and I’ve missed you Samien.....more than my mortal words could express” they gently placed a tender kiss on Samien’s lips their gold eyes fluttering closed in time with the green eyed boys eyes as they softly kiss relishing the sole singular moment between them before they break apart the black haired boys face being red with a furious blush.

“I can tell....,” Samien softly whispers as he takes hold of Varian’s hand that was resting on his cheek “how about we get out of here” Samien proposed, going to spread his wings but Varian yanks him back down.
“we could be seen.....we need to blend in with humans....” He goes quiet for a moment before subtly waving his hand at a clothing shop just across the street from them. The lights flicker on and the doors unlock leaving an open store for the fairy’s to take from.

Samien laughs softly before slowly clambering down from the tree using façade magic to conceal his wings from the eyes of anyone foolish enough to be walking around at twilight, although from Samien’s experience the mortals weren’t too bright.

Varian, for their contribution simply tucked their wings away flat against their back as the pair chambered down the tree and made their way into the mortals clothing shop.

Why they didn’t just façade a vision of mortal clothing over their leaf woven tunics is beyond me but its not our place to question the fae.

After the two young fairy’s daring escapade into the human clothing store, which they both quickly decided they firmly disliked in their words it was "too brick-y" whatever that means, the pair continued to meet up in the oak tree at twilight enjoying moonlit walks together, cuddles under the stars, ice creams together and even managing to go to some cute little restaurants before promptly being kicked out for not paying the bill.
