Enchanted to meet you ~ a Miraculous FanFic

The clouds begin to disperse along the Parisian sky as the sun begins to set. After finishing her last shift at the bakery before school starts for the new year, an exhausted Marinette decides to have herself a long relaxing spa session to calm her nerves.

After throwing her bags on her perfectly pink lounge chair she makes her way over to her wardrobe. Pulling her drawers she gawks at her pajama choices. Usually, Marinette would surrender to her signature pink blossom leggings paired with a white vest scattered with pale pink polka dots. However today her attention was grabbed by a cute pajama set that contained lavender baggy shorts scattered with white unicorns, rainbows, and stars paired with a slightly lavender t shirt. The shirt contained a giant unicorn head with the words "dreaming about you in magical slumber". Her Nonna had given it to her for Christmas last year. Marinette never minded the unicorn Pajamas in fact they were her favorite she never grew out of her love for unicorns.

After picking up her Pajamas and underwear, Marinette made her way into her bathroom, picked a bath bomb for her relaxing spa night, and ran the water. While waiting for the water to rise, she began to go through her phone. She first scrolled through TikTok and began to like a couple of videos beginning with Alyas 30-second-daily-ladybug-news while she rolled her eyes passed Chloé's rich-girl-check video. Before Marinette could go on Instagram a knocking on her bedroom trap-door distracted her. She stopped the running water and made her way out of the bathroom and opened the door to see her papa.

Marinette's POV

"Yes, papa?

" Hi Marinette, me and your mum are going to start deliveries today"

Huh? I thought he wasn't starting until tomorrow...

"Wait why? You haven't hired anyone to deliver"

"Well me and your mother thought it'd be nice to start deliveries tonight, plus it won't be hot and sunny during the evenings forever, summers starting to end. We are starting job interviews for delivery men and women tomorrow so make sure you're home from school to help out"

"Sure I will!" I say with a smile, to open my eyes and see my papa making that sarcastic 'sure-you-will'  look on his face

"Papa I promise" I insist

"Alright, alright, anyways we should be going now, have a good night Mari"

"Goodnight"

The door closes as he leaves and I run the tubs hot water again, I hear another knock on the door and open it to see Tikki.

"Tikki you know you can just go through the door whenever you want" she has crumbs all around her mouth, which could only mean that she was stealing a couple of cookies from the bakery again. She thinks I don't notice but I do, I laugh to myself.

"I know... but you're not a child as much as I would love to think you are, it's been your birthday recently and I don't wanna be a nosey kwami, I'm your friend and friends have boundaries."

She looks so sincere, I mean I know that I am growing up but I didn't think that I would need to talk to Tikki about boundary issues. I guess Tikki has been thinking about this for a while, I mean I guess it's nice that she cares about my privacy but I didn't expect this sudden space now.

"I've known many ladybugs throughout time, many of them were around your age, no matter the time, teenagers are all the same. Everyone needs boundaries. You're living with this huge responsibility and balancing your own life, I know that you will need to focus more on teenager Marinette not just Ladybug, the savior of Paris"

I didn't think of it like that, I know that there have been many Ladybugs throughout history but how many of them have been guardians? None. despite my many doubts about being ready for being the guardian of the miraculous, I know that I cannot let that distract me from myself and what I truly want in my own life and how I will achieve it. This shall be my new focus for this school year, coming to terms with what I want and how I'm going to get it, plus it is my life and I can't waste a single second distracted or doubtful!
