Days pass and it is now Friday. The end of the first week was filled with the realization for some students that they were in for quite a year.

Unlike the beginning of the week, this particular Friday was looking as bright as ever. Perhaps it was the fact the first week was over, or perhaps it was to silently celebrate a new friendship to bloom.

While walking along the city street, Lila was on her way to Juleka's boat house to work on their project. Instead of walking with Juleka home, which was the original plan, Lila had other matters to attend to, with a certain character eager to meet with her.

Looking up from her phone which read 3:33pm, she found herself outside the boat. Inviting herself to walk up the ladder, she looked around the main deck, there were pieces of confetti sprinkled along the boat floor and sheets around spelling KITTY SECTION.

Hearing approaching footsteps, she put the flier into the pocket of her bright red jacket for safe keeping. Turning around she spots the purple dyed haired girl making her way to her, attempting to carry a large pile of sheets and binders to which she would've dropped if it wasn't for Lila swooping in to catch them at the very last second.

Lila, meeting her eyes with the girl through the sheets of paper, gives her a smile "Good thing I was here before you dropped these, huh" she ended with a giggle.

Juleka quietly thanks her and makes her way to put the sheets down onto a chair in front of the keyboard.

"Um... wanna come to my room? We can study in there" she managed to get out whilst looking back at the bright red girl.

"Sure! Lead the way"

Lila follows behind Juleka into her bedroom, her eyes immediately dart to the second bed on the opposite side of her room.

"Hey, whose bed is that?" As she trails the details of her room, she spots a picture stuck to the side of her purple vanity, a selfie between her and a boy, also with dip dyed hair, but instead in blue.

"Oh, that's my brother... Luka? I don't know, maybe you've heard of him? He's a couple years older than us. Y-you might've seen um him around um...yeah"

In all honesty, with the amount of school Lila misses she only has time to focus on the people in her class, so this new face really was new to her.

The two settled themselves into a rhythm, with Juleka researching renaissance artists on her computer and Lila on the ground brainstorming ideas they could explore.

The assignment Mr Ali gave the students for their first term was to create a piece about a strong emotion they feel and use artistic influence by any renaissance artist of their choosing. Lila kept things simple, things that any teenager would experience, such as heartbreak, new love or their dreams for the future. Lila couldn't differ any more than these subject, though expressing the way she really felt would mean letting people in too far to handle.

She looked up to the purple haired girl, as she was typing away at the laptop. Lila watched her, watch her laptop, then she drag her eyes at the contents of her room, music...fashion...friends...Rose...? Bingo.

"So Juleka I was going through the choices for our projects themes... what about love?" Juleka visibly shudders, as Lila suspects she would, she carries on "but I don't know, is there anything or person you love, that you'd wanna expand on?"

Juleka pauses for a while, her face still stuck to the screen before she slowly turns to face Lila. Her fingers gracing her bangs as a form of security.

"Well uhm... I'm in a band? I guess I could talk about that..." she deflects.

Lila presses further "well I was maybe already gonna talk about my charity work, as that is something I'm very passionate about... I was thinking we could have two contrasting topics. One being love one has for their career and one for the heart"
