{ Bot POV }
Everything that happened that day felt like some dream. I remember getting protected by Goo, watching as the roof came clambering down onto him as I hugged the Cherries tightly. His gelatinous build made it a lot easier to take the hits. It scared me. I'm not an object, I'm a robot. My entire life is on the line. The others could just be revived by MePhone, right? I clutched the two red balls close to me; fear struck into my mechanical heart. I could hear the engines chugging faster inside as everything crumbled around us.
"Goo! Come on!" I screamed at him. He burbled, groaning as he slunk over. I zoomed on ahead, leaving him behind a bit. MePhone could always bring Goo back.
"Bot..! Wait..!" Goo called after me. But I was so far ahead, I couldn't hear him. Even if he were injured, or died, MePhone could always bring him back.
His voice grew farther and farther away. I felt the Cherries go limp on my back. Selfishly, I let them down. I was too worried about myself. MePhone could always bring them back.
But even if the Cherries died, it wouldn't change the fact that I couldn't escape this line of fire. So, I used them as a shield. Their screams, their cries, it was horrible. I couldn't do anything for them. But MePhone could.
Eventually, the screams died out. I only felt a hint of remorse the entire way through. There wasn't exactly any room for thought, or what my actions would entail. I just wanted to get out of here. MePhone would revive the Cherries, no doubt.
My metallic black beans touched the grass. It tickled against them, but I didn't feel a thing. I discarded the Cherries to the side. My scanners hadn't picked up any signs of life from them. There was no one around to help, either. But that's okay. MePhone could help.
I called out. "Help! Anybody? MePhone4 specifically?" I watched as an unlikely Bomb ran over, covered in soot. He slid over to me, checking if I was alright. I had to point the corpse out to them. "Not me, you dingus! Them!"
I watched as Bomb struggled to revive the two, burnt-red Cherries. Bomb knelt down, not exactly sure what to do. "I-I c-can't d-do a-anything for t-them! T-They're a-already d-dead."
I stared at Bomb with confusion. "Then get MePhone!" I scream at him. He flinches back, shaking. This only heightens my curiosity.
"U-Uh, M-M-M-"
"Spit it out already!"
"M-M-M-Mephone i-is-"
"They're what? Talk!"
"H-he's d-dead."
My heart dropped from my stomach. I nearly keeled over in internal agony to vomit. If I could, that is. Oil seeped from my mouth instead.
"B-B-Bot? A-A-Are you a-a-alright?"
"...If...MePhone4 is dead...then, does that mean?"
He nodded. I struggled to wrap my head around this. I left not one, but TWO people for dead. My best friends.
"...I need to go back for Goo."
I tried to run off, but Bomb held my shoulder with a firm grip. "Y-You c-can't g-go back i-in!"
I tried to wrangle out of his grip. "NO! I left him behind, so I have to go get him."
"H-he's gone, Bot. Y-you have t-to accept t-that."
