Boring, bland, balanced.
Your life could be described in those three words, it captured your essence fully. Let's elaborate: Boring. Your life was boring because everything that happened was always so goddamn predictable. Even the TV shows you watched were boring themselves. Everyday was the exact same, a copy with little to no changes. You could stare down at a rock for hours, you'd be as entertained as when you're out with friends.
Bland. You were bland, there was no special thing that added character to your being, no mommy or daddy issues. No sad backstory to flaunt every time you did something wrong, no villain arc. No cool design or weird fashion sense that made you stand out in a crowd. You were essentially a side character in your own life, sometimes you even forgot you were yourself and not just a spectator to the world.
Balanced. For every bad thing that happened to you, there was an equally important happy moment in your life. Even your grades were perfectly balanced. One day you got a 30, the next day you got a 70. And what did that make? A 50. Sometimes you stood on the 50 for ages, not a 49, not a 51, but a 50. Everything was perfectly balanced in a way that whatever happened, it'd be nullified by whatever event came next.
Expect, overlooking those aspects of your life, there was something strange about you. You could see... things. You weren't exactly sure what they were, but they went everywhere you did. Hell, you even found one in the bathroom! No a moment of privacy in your life. You tried to google 'is it normal I see monsters everywhere I go?'. Apparently not. You could be having hallucinations, you could be schizophrenic. Whatever it was, you didn't dare tell a soul. You could ruin your already non-existent public image!
So you just.. lived with it. You even made friends with some along the way! Of course, they never stuck around too much, everyday a new monster. Expect one, it vaguely resembled a cat, it was pretty cute. It stuck to you like glue, it went everywhere you were, at school, at the supermarket, at the cinema, just everywhere! He could be mistaken for a normal cat if it wasn't for the fact that he only had one, big eye. Also, you were pretty sure he could talk, when he wanted.
You laid on the chair unmoving, somebody could mistake you as dead. You sometimes took a sip of your iced coffee, eyeing the people that ran thru the busy streets. You liked to point out those that in your category, fell as 'main characters' of their lives. It was a weird hobby, but hey, you didn't exactly have anything better to do with your life. The cat snuggled up to you, laying on your lap. You didn't react, you really wanted to pet him, but people would mistake you for a weirdo: they couldn't see him after all.
