Ethan's POV
We followed Alpha Jenkins down a set of stone stairs. The walls looked old, but had modern light fixtures to light our way. It seems like we're going pretty far down. I was about to ask, but Taylor beat me to it.
"Hey, AJ. How far down are we going?" Taylor asks, briefly pulling their face out of Shay's neck.
"It's pretty far. Basically three stories underneath the ground floor. I wanted to make it really far down, so that there is no way that the Pack can hear what is happening down here. I don't want to freak out the pups or people that have no business knowing about what goes on down here." He says, as we come up to a large wooden door, with two guards. He nods at them, and they open it for us. We enter the room, which is surprisingly large.
I take a look around and see that the room is soundproofed and modern in style. "This... Was not what I was expecting." I say, mostly to myself.
Alpha Jenkins chuckles. "Just because we do our interrogations down here, doesn't mean it's medieval." He walks through the room to the guard's desk on the side.
The guard stands and bows his head. "Alpha." He states in greeting.
"Good afternoon. I need to speak to the two we captured in regards to the break-in to my son's apartment." Alpha says plainly.
"Right away, sir. I'll collect them along with Jones' help, and bring them to room two." The guard says calmly and bows before leaving to get the prisoners.
Alpha Jenkins leads us towards the room we'll be talking to the guys in. We take a seat on one side of the table, with Taylor staying on Shay's lap. We sat and waited calmly, the guard brought in a pitcher of water and some glasses.
"Sweetheart, do you want some water?" Shay leans down to kiss Taylor's head.
"No..." They say in a small voice. "I just want to see if they have familiar voices... And then I want to go home..."
Shay rubs their back. "Of course, Baby." You don't even have to look up if you don't want to." He kisses their head, and keeps rubbing their back.
I reach over and take their hand. "You don't have to do anything uncomfortable, Darling." I lean in to kiss their head, as well. "You can listen to them introduce themselves, and then you and Shay can go home. I'll come home after I talk to them for a bit. Does that sound good?" I ask, looking at their eyes. They nod shyly, and keep their face in Shay's neck. I chuckle and ruffle their hair.
Just then the door opens, and two guards walk in with the two men that were captured. They sat down across from us, and cuffed to the table. The guards set up the recorder, and then stepped back to the wall.
"Alright, gentlemen. I am Alpha Richard Jenkins of the Midnight River Pack. I have brought you here to talk to you about a break-in that occurred in the apartment of my son's Mate. I suspect you two of having something to do with that. For right now, I'd like you to introduce yourself and your rank in your Pack." Alpha stated calmly, but a stern undertone.
The man on the right, who was familiar, looked at me, and glared. "Hello, Ethan. Good to see you. Can't believe it's been so long." He said, his voice sounding familiar to me.
"Sir, please just introduce yourself for now." Alpha Jenkins used his Alpha Tone on the man, making him bow his head.
"Sorry, sir." His voice revealing his submission. "My name is Steven Irving, Warrior Seventy-Five."
Something clicked. "STEVEN!" I jumped up. "HOLY SHIT!" I ran my hands through my hair. "Dude, what the fuck?"
"Ethan." Alpha Jenkins said, trying to keep decorum.
