Shay's POV

I wake up a few hours later and look at my beautiful sleeping Mates. Their faces are so relaxed and angelic. Goddess, I love them. I decide to make them some breakfast, and quietly slide out of bed and make my way downstairs.

I'm in the middle of flipping an omelet when I hear footsteps down the stairs. I can tell it's Ethan coming into the kitchen, and he wraps his arms around me from behind.

"Good morning, Daddy." He kisses my cheek. "Making some amazing breakfast?" He chuckles, then goes to sit at the counter.

"Good morning, Babycakes." I plate his omelet and set it in front of him. "You've got cheese and peppers, with some spinach." I grin and kiss his head.

"Mmm!" He moans, even before tasting it. "Sounds delicious! Thank you, Daddy!"

We hear a thud from upstairs and look at each other. I turn off the stove and we both make our way upstairs. Poor Taylor is on the floor next to the bed. We rush forward to pick them up and set them back on the bed.

"Darling, are you alright?" Ethan asks, holding their face in his hands.

"Hmm?" Taylor asks, in a daze. They slide back down on the bed.

"Taylor? Baby?" I reach over to touch their cheek, and they're burning up. I snap my hand back and mind-link my dad.

Dad, I need a Pack Doctor over here, now. Taylor is burning up and barely responsive. I try to stay relatively calm.

Of course, son. Dr. Bell is on his way. Try to stay calm and see if they'll drink some water. Dad replies, his voice tense as well.

Thanks, Dad. I sigh mentally. "Babycakes, can you get a glass of water? Dad's sending Dr. Bell over and suggested trying to get Taylor to drink some water."

"Yes, Daddy." Ethan goes downstairs without any resistance. He's just as worried. Werewolves don't get sick, and I can tell that both of us are trying to keep our nerves under control.

"Taylor? Baby? Can you hear me?" I ask gently, brushing the hair away from their face.

They mumble something and try to burrow into the bed. Ethan comes back into the room with Dr. Bell.

"Good morning, Doctor." I say, shifting to give him space to examine Taylor.

"Good morning, Shay. I got a little information from Alpha Jenkins. What's going on?" He asks as he starts taking their vitals.

"I'm honestly not sure. I was downstairs making breakfast, and had just set Ethan's in front of him. Then we heard a thud, and came upstairs to find Taylor on the floor. We helped them back into bed, but they don't seem to be able to respond to us and they keep trying to burrow into the bed." I say, my eyes trained on Taylor's small face, slightly contorted.

Doctor Bell works in silence for a few minutes. "I need to have Taylor brought to the clinic. There are some tests I'd like to run. We also might need to bring in a human doctor. I'm not entirely certain what's happening here." He sighs as he stands.

"Alright, we'll get Taylor dressed and bring them over." I say standing to shake his hand. Ethan goes and grabs some clothes from the closet. We work together to get Taylor dressed, then we get ourselves dressed. I carry Taylor downstairs, and we make our way to the garage, and I gently put Taylor in the backseat and scoot in beside them. Ethan gets in the driver's seat and we start our way to the Pack House.

The drive to the Pack House is a quiet one. We don't even have the radio on. All we listen to is Taylor's slightly uneven breathing. Their body trying to deal with the sudden illness.
