III

We started walking again with the difference that Kevin won't stop talking. "I have a younger sister, you know? Her name is-" I plugged his mouth, stopping suddenly. I motioned for him to shut up, and looked around. I only see the trees, but I know someone is there. "They're following us," I whispered to Kevin. His eyes widened in shock "who?" I gestured for him to look around and he did.

"WHO ARE YOU?" I yelled not knowing where the person I was asking really was. After a few seconds a girl with my same clothes came out behind a tree. "Oh no" I whispered "Do you know each other?" said the boy next to me. "You thought you were the only one wanting to run away? hahahahaha how pathetic you are," the girl said in an annoying voice. "We have to run away from her, but don't talk," I said to Kevin, "okay."

I started running towards the girl thus starting a fight. If she's here, they'll have followed her. I punched her cheekbone making her lose her balance, I take the opportunity to take her from behind and block her. "You're stupid. Do you think they haven't located you? Because of you I'm in danger too" "You bitch" she said and then freed herself by elbowing me in my stomach causing me to fall. She stood on top of me punching my face without stopping. Then suddenly something hit the girl making her unconscious, then Kevin helped me get up and threw away the piece of log he was holding. "Thank you.." "Your lips are bleeding!" "..it doesn't matter, let's go" I said before falling to the ground and seeing only darkness.

Kevin's pov

"Elizabeth.. ELIZABETH" I said shaking her but she doesn't wake up. She said we have to get away from that girl, so I grabbed her on my shoulder like a koala and I started walking as far as possible. Only a few meters of walk, I hear the noise of cars and many people approaching. I hide with my new friend behind a very big tree. I don't see any cars but some women in uniforms take the other girl's body. They don't leave they are looking for someone "spread out, search the area they won't be far" said one of the women who I assume is the leader "fuck" "don't talk" I was scared to hear her voice "you woke up!" I feel more relieved to know that she is not dead, I don't know her it's true but I know that she is a good person and I have nothing to lose. I help her to get up "Are you okay? Can you walk" "Why do you worry about me?" I honestly don't know I'm following my instincts, I wanted to tell her this but I'm too proud. "I'm not worried, and you owe me a favor. I saved your life just now" "Do you think it's time to talk about this?" I wanted to answer her but she grabbed my hand and slammed me against the tree putting her other hand over my mouth. She signaled me to be quiet and to follow her so I did. There are drones everywhere, we are going slowly so as not to be discovered "down" we hid from a drone but we hear another one behind us we turn around very slowly. "RUN" I said throwing myself on the flying thing. She didn't move, in fact she helped me by throwing more of these things down. When we defeated almost half of those things the women approached us. "Elizabeth what were you trying to do?" asked the leader "did you think you could fool us by pulling out your GPS?" she continued with the questions that received no answers. "Take it and kill the boy, he has seen too much" the witch orders "NO... he has nothing to do with it, leave him alone" said Elisabeth. The leader didn't listen to her, so she rebelled and started fighting against those women in an extraordinary way. She knocked out that women in the blink of an eye "and these are secret agents?" I asked aloud. The leader didn't have any reaction she didn't move even an inch. She got into a fighting stance to take her friend, she didn't run away but faced her head on. They started fighting, I don't know what to do.

Minutes have passed that seem like hours, neither of them seems to give up. They look like two war monsters. I don't know whether to help her or run away. Wrapped in my thoughts I didn't notice that one of the two had fallen to the ground and lost consciousness. "You'll continue to watch or do you want to run with me?”  without any hesitation we begin our run through this forest which seems more like a labyrinth. "I think we're quite far away now you might as well stop running."  I say out of breath "No, not with them" "By the way, who were they?"  "We'll talk about the past when we feel like it, right?"  she replied. Without saying anything else we continued running for another 30 minutes then we just walked for the rest of the day. Towards the evening we were tired and we arrived in front of a fence where we made ourselves comfortable to rest.  "we will take shifts on guard if they follow us they will attack us in our sleep, you can sleep then I will wake you up to switch places" I did as she told me, from tiredness I immediately fell asleep without worries.
