Elizabeths POV 

"I can not believe it!WE ARE ON BOARD A SHIP" "shut up monkey, otherwise they will find us" I say making him shut up. We walk slowly along the wall to find a place to rest.
Arriving at a corridor that I have no idea where it leads to, we met two crew members. I stay calm. “Can we see your tickets guys?” Fuck but how? I turn to see Kevin's terrified face, apparently he can't stay calm. "Our parents have it and unfortunately we lost them, this ship is so big!" I said in a very fake and calm voice "We'll help you find them. What's your name?" one of them said "It's okay, we'll do it ourselves thanks for the offer" I tried to convince them. "You won't be able to, like you said. The ship is too big and we have to make sure you don't get lost."The other said. We had no choice but to follow these two. "What are you going to do, Elly?" Asked Kevin "When I give you the signal, run" I told him. After a few minutes of walking we found ourselves in a crowded place. Perfect! I took Kevin's hand and we blended into the crowd after a while we heard the voices of those two in the distance then we started running. We hid on the garage deck, in a small space so as not to be seen by the crew. We hid behind some containers,  There isn't much space but that doesn't matter. "They won't find us here, let's rest" Kevin said tired of this situation. "You rest, I'll stay on guard just in case" "All right" he said, settling down on the floor.

After a few hours where he slept, hunger made itself felt. To forget the hunger I decided to sleep for a while too. If they haven't found us all this time I doubt they will now.

I was in this now very familiar pitch darkness. I felt cold and in pain, I wanted to scream but I had no voice and I wanted to run away but I couldn't move.
I slipped  and then fall into the void.
I found myself in a tub of freezing water and I felt hands rubbing my skin as if to clean them until they bled. I was screaming and writhing in pain "I'M SORRY I WON'T DO IT AGAIN PLEASE I'M SORRY" unanswered screams.
the tub disappeared beneath me, causing me to fall onto the hard, dirty ground.
however, the pain of the torn skin remained. The usual screams of pain broke the silence around me.

ands lifted me by the arms dragging me along the ground. I no longer had the strength to scream. those hands threw me against a wall closing the cell door.
I remained in that position for endless minutes. Alone, cold and in pain.

Kevin's pov

I woke up because of someone's complaints  complaints of suffering. When I got up to look I realized it was Elly. I moved her a little to wake her from her nightmare, when my hand touched her arm, so cold. I decided to take off my jacket to cover her. I moved closer to warm her with the heat of my body. Our faces were inches apart, I reached out to put some locks of hair from her delicate face. I couldn't help but think about when she fought that woman. How could she fight like this with such a delicate and small body? I noticed tears falling from her closed eyes and wiped them away with my thumb. Instinctively  I hugged her, pushing her against my chest "you're not alone, Elly, I'm here, with you" I said stroking her head.
I felt her muscles relax and her heartbeat quicken. I smiled, I'm happy and I think she's the reason. I fell asleep like that with her in my arms.

Elizabeths POV

After almost two days on this ship stealing food and running away from the crew who were looking for us. Today we will arrive at our destination. strangely these days I haven't had any more nightmares or rather flashbacks. I feel much more relaxed. "Wake up monkey, today is the big day" "Mhm.. 5 more minutes" "Okay I'll go though" I said standing up and taking his backpack over my shoulder. In recent days I have tried to get to know this ship, less patrolled routes,  the less frequented areas and the emergency exits. I studied the guards' routines. I came to the conclusion that we should dress up as crew members. "I still don't like this idea" Kevin said for the millionth time. "It's the quickest way out of here if it doesn't work we'll hide in the cargo." I said confidently.

We had already stolen the uniforms so we locked ourselves in the bathroom to change. we stayed in the bathroom for about half an hour.
By now we should already be there. After leaving the bathroom we walk towards the port. strangely no one noticed us or said a word. "it's strange" Kevin noted "Very" I agreed. A few steps from the mainland we heard a scream "HEYYY YOU! GET BACK HERE NOW!" We turned at the same time to see the guys from the other day running after us. "Let's go" Kevin said taking my hand and running. I turn to see if they are following us. "FUCK" they are close we have to lose them. "Don't let go of my hand" I said pulling him towards me to run faster. "It's a dead end!" Kevin noted "But I think we lost them" I said lost in my thoughts "You're right, how lucky" he said with a smile on his face. But I don't care much about these two, with his look I understood that his thoughts are also elsewhere. We are free! "we should be happy, right?" Asked Kevin "Yeah.. but what now?" I said, looking into each other's eyes, with the chirping of birds breaking the silence.
