Elléne stood in front of the tombstone gazing at it every so heavily, the memories flooding back to her. She knew it would be hard to come back after years and begin from the dust itself but she had made a promise to herself and her godfather.
She gets down onto her knees watching the picture of her father smiling so endearingly as ever when she came to his sight, the grave was a scar on her wounded heart, and the grave next to it was a reminder to her. What she had lost was beyond healing. She asks Mr.Oh to leave her alone and he complies at instant.
"Hey" she pauses to breathe "Dad" her eyes tearing up "How have you been?"
She asked adoring his smile "You look happy" she sniffs trying to hold back the tears from falling "I know you won't be happy about what I'm doing here but first things first" She touches the frame ever so delicately
"Maybe you won't want this but to lighten up myself from this burden and pain we all went through, it needs to be done" She heaves a sigh "I miss you so much" She smiles sadly.
"Let's meet soon dad, I'll take care of the things at best and I'm so sorry for everything that happened so far," she eyes the grave next to her father's.
"I know that you miss, her" Her gaze changes into a stiffened one "But she's long gone and I'm sorry for that, You lost her to me but I hope you don't hate me for that" The tears rise again
"I know you don't but the guilt, it eats me up" she smiles and the tears flow down unwillingly.
"I'll see you soon dad, take care" one last time she adores her fathers face before heading back to her car where Mr.Oh awaited her.
"Mr. Oh, Did you look into what I asked you to?" she questions him.
"Yes, Ms.Shio, here" he passes the envelope to her. Elléne pulls it open to take a look at the documents that were handed to her.
She intakes the details of the people handed to her "They worked along with your father".
Mr.Oh tries to sum up the information gathered for her "Many of them passed away around the time of your father while some quite earlier than that when things began to turn shady".
