I woke up at 9:30 this morning which is quite surprising for me. As i was walking downstairs i heard my dad talking on the phone. "I can't just pick up and leave, I have Y/n to look after and you know she has no other family! I adopted her so she wouldn't be alone and now your expecting me to-" He was cut off.

He notices me standing at the bottom of the stairs looking confused. "We'll talk about this later." He hangs up and walks over to me. "You okay sweetheart?" He asks me as i just stare at him. "Yeah...Can i go over to Ben's today?" I smile.

"Sure kiddo, be good and I'll pick you up at 6?" He hands me my coat and kisses my head. "Okay thanks dad!" I hug him before running out the house.

Once i get to Ben's I ring the doorbell as his mum answers. "Hey Y/n, Ben is just upstairs doing homework!" She moves out the way for me to come in, closing the door after.

"Thanks Mrs Pincus!" I smile before running upstairs. I open the door to Ben's room which made him jump and fall off his chair.

"Shit, sorry Ben!" I run over to him, helping him up. "It's fine, I was starting to fall asleep anyway." He smiles as he puts his books away.

"Have you heard about that Camp Cretaceous thingy?" I ask him, sitting on his bed. "Oh yeah...My mum got me into it." He frowns. I put my hand on his shoulder and smile.

"My dad was going to get me a VIP invite but I want to earn it, you know? Soooo I did that music competition you told me to and boom!" I show him the E-mail i got from Dave and Roxie. He looks shocked but then smiles.

"Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you!" He hugs me tightly. "Wait...You are clean right?" He pulls away, looking me in the eye. "Maybe i am, maybe I'm not."

He rushes over to his desk and puts on half a bottle of sanitizer. "Ben i was just kidding, I'm clean!" I laugh as he takes a deep breath. "Not funny." He looks at me with a very unamused face.

"Oh lighten up Benerino!! Were going to Camp Cretaceous with dinosaurs! Real freaking dinosaurs!" He shudders at that and looks outside. "I bet you're excited to see the dilophosaurus's and Velociraptors aren't you?" He smirks at me.

"They're just so cool and cute! You can't say you disagree!" He looks at me with the same unamused face as before. "I disagree."

"Oh come on Benerino, Live a little!" I put both of my hands on his shoulders.

"I thought i told you to stop calling me that." He laughs a bit. "But it's scary...I mean a bunch of giant lizards just waiting to eat us!" He wraps his arms around himself. Poor Benerino...

"I promise you will be absolutely fine! I'll even take all of my sanitizer's and motion sickness pills okay?" He looks back at me and smiles.

"Thanks Y/N/N." He puts his hand on mine. Now come on how about we 'prepare' for next week huh?" I pull out a dinosaur book out of my bag as he groans.

"I'm trying to help here Pincus! But if you don't want my help that's fine by me!" I walk to his bedroom door.

"Wait!" He shouts, reaching his hand out to me. "That's what i thought." I sit next to him, pulling the book back out.

A few hours later Mrs Pincus walks in on us laughing our heads off. "Y/N/N your dad is here!" I put my stuff away and give Ben a quick hug before walking out.

"Hurry Y/N/N there's a surprise for you at home!" My dad says, starting the car.
One we get home i walk into the living room to see Dave and Roxie!

Dave was the first to notice me as he runs up to me and hugs me so tight i could barely breathe. "There's our little musician!" Dave says as he hugs me even tighter.

"Dave let her go before you kill the poor girl!" Roxie hits Dave on the back of the head. "Hey Y/N sorry about that." Roxie says as she hugs me.

"Aren't you guys supposed to be on the island?" I ask them, My dad, Dave, and Roxie all look at eachother smiling. "Well were here to take you to the island early!"I stand there with my mouth hung open.

"Ummm Owen I think we broke her." Dave says, Waving his hand infront of me. "But what about Ben?" I ask. I don't wanna leave him behind!

"Ooooo is he your boyfriend?" Dave asks, Wiggling his eyebrows. I turn deep red as Roxie hits him again. "David!"

"Okay sorry sorry!" He puts his arms up in defence. "But is he?" I shake my head, the red still on my face.

"We could take him aswell or you could wait till everyone goes together?"

"Yeah I'll just go at the same time as the others, I don't wanna get any special treatment!" They nod as they walk over to the front door.
"That's fine by us! See you next week Y/N/N!" They walk out while me and dad wave.

A week passes, it's the night before i leave and i cannot contain my excitement! Me and Ben were heaving dinner at his and i couldn't help but notice him still looking really nervous.

I place my hand on his, giving him a reassuring smile. "It'll be fine, Ben. Roxie and Dave won't let anything happen to us!" He smiles at me, nodding.

"I trust you Y/N."

After dinner I go home and pack my bag. Once i was done packing, I text Ben, reminding him what fun It's going to be and how everything will be fine.

I can't wait for tomorrow!

~The next day~

I wake up early and immediately get dressed into this:

I brush my hair and teeth before grabbing my bag and taking it downstairs.

"Morning Honey! Want some breakfast?" Dad asks me from the kitchen.

"No thanks dad I'm good!" I say politely. A few minutes later i hear the doorbell.

"I got it!" I open the door to find Ben and his mum. "Hey sweetheart is it okay if Ben stays here so you can go together?"

"Of course Mrs Pincus! We'll see you after camp!" I smile before dragging Ben in.

"I got my sanitizer and pills in here!" I take them out and hand them to Ben.

"Wow thanks Y/n i didn't think you would actually do that for me!" He puts them in his bag.

"Of course Ben you're my best friend!" I put some on myself before hugging him. "Ben, Y/N it's time to go!" My dad says. I take Ben's hand as we walk out the door and into the car.
