They arrived and there was a sparring ground where soldier do one vs one for training. Harux and Sarux was there helping cadets.
Sarux: Nice!! That's a good one! You see what I was saying Lurian about holding the swords right!
Lurian: Yes sir! It really helped with the tip you gave me!
Verdin: Lurian!! Its so good to see you!!
Lurian: Master! Its been a while! Im now in training for sword fighting!
Verdin: I can see! And brother is been a good instructor am I right!!
Sarux: Of course brother! You brought Amanda here too?
Verdin: I am! I want to give her some lessons in close quarter combat!
Harux: Ah! I want to see my Amanda fighting swords or anything that is melee!
Amanda: I hope I can have something that will fit me!
Verdin: We will find out, I need you all cadets to leave the sparing. Im going to place you some spectral targets for you so go ahead and grab any of those weapons that you might think it fit.
Amanda: Katanas! I used Katanas on Earth for wood chopping!
Harux: Stars! Even on Earth theres Katanas!
Amanda: (Grabbing one Katana) This one will do! Its really lightweight!
Verdin: Then lets test it how you handled that weapon! Come!
Amanda: (Entering the sparing ground and pull the katana as she is ready) Im ready!
Verdin: (Casting spell and a Spectral Haroxian appeared ready to attack) Theres your target and don't worry if you get slash, you will feel a stun that's about it. Now, Fight!
Amanda proceed to be on defensive stance and the Spectral Haroxian while looking at her he withdraws his weapon and went to her as he is carrying a lance. Amanda took a slash.
Amanda: (STUN) TSSSS AHHH!
Harux: Concentrate my dear. Think first of the possible moves of your opponents and what he might do. Again Verdin.
Verdin: (Casting spell and the same Spectral Haroxian appeared) Try again.
Amanda: (Katana pointing at the target as they where in defensive stance)
The Spectral went to Amanda and she manage to block his attack and dodge and slash him making him disappear. She manage to strike him.
Verdin: Good!! Good one!! See what we are talking about!
Amanda: Yeah I hope I progress I mean it still weird doing melee attacks rather than using my guns.
Harux: Darling you need to learn how to use other types of weapons if you ever run out of ammunitions in battle.
Verdin: That's why im teaching you this lessons Amanda. Lets try again but I want you to go on the offensive, you did good there in defensive but I want you to attack. (Casting spell) Theres your target.
Amanda rush at the spectral target but he slash her.
Amanda: (STUN) AAAHHH!!! TSSSSS!!!! Okay i think ive screw up there.
Verdin: Not rushing like that. Never go straight to your opponent like that. what you do is go around him and then you dodge his attack and you proceed to slash him. Again. (Casting spell)
Amanda stayed there as Verdin was training her and so far she is been doing good but she needs more practicing when it comes to attack. Five hours passed and there was little progress.
Amanda: (Sat and exhausted) I never though this will be easy.
Verdin: Easy? You are just starting! (Laughing) One day you will have to fight me on a sparing.
Amanda: Fight you?! No I don't want to do that!!
Verdin: We are going to use stun swords so it wont cut us.
Amanda: Is this also part of your lessons?
Verdin: Yes! Im going to be your master but so far the katanas has been a good weapon for you. Come lets head home and we will come back tomorrow. Unless you have no other projects?
Amanda: Im literally waiting for that missile carrier to be constructed. Have you seen my weapons Verdin?
Verdin: I saw them! I cannot wait to see them in action! Come lets head home.
Amanda: Sure!
Verdin and Amanda exited Sentinel Red Pyramid and Verdin lowered his body.
Verdin: (Lowered) Because you are exhausted.
Amanda: (Mounting on his back and laid her head on his plumage) Thank you.........
Verdin: (Raptoric sound and Sprinted)
They ended the day by having dinner as she took a bath and sleep under Verdin's Arms.
