The next day, Eri and Izuku spent the morning together as usual, or so it seemed. However, Izuku appeared distracted, repeatedly spilling his coffee on the counterbar, dropping his spoon into his meal, screaming in the bathroom due to the too hot water, and almost leaving home without his hero pants. Eri could only assume that he was exhausted due to her fever the previous night, and she couldn't help feeling guilty about it.

───

However, something new caught Eri's attention once they arrived at the kindergarten.

"Kacchan..." Eri thought Izuku sounded out of breath.

She looked up with curiosity to see an unfamiliar person who was standing in front of them.

it was a muscular man─as much as Mirio─, holding a little girl in his arm. his appearance subtly concealed beneath a sort of disguise. A worn ballcap was pulled low over his forehead, and a pair of black sunglasses shielded his eyes, casting a shadow and softening his natural coloring. She could only catch his sharp jawline and a hint of short blond hair peeking out from beneath the cap's brim.

His gaze met Eri's over the sunglasses, and somehow she instinctively hid behind Izuku, gripping his hand tightly.

"G, Good morning! W, why are you here, though?"

"Is she your daughter?" the blond man just asked without answer, subtly avoiding making eye contact with Izuku, glancing downward instead.

"Y-yeah! th-this is Eri! Eri, say hello to him!" Izuku stuttered, clearly flustered and biting his tongue.

But Eri, feeling overwhelmed by the tense atmosphere between the man and Izuku, couldn't say anything to either of them. Just then, another voice interrupted the awkward moment.

"He looks so nerdy," smirked the little girl in the man's arms.

"Hey, you can't say that, Tatami," scolded the man, poking her nose lightly. She pouted in response.

Izuku's mouth hung open in surprise.

"Kacchan, you have...." he mumbled under his breath, his gaze fixed on the mean little girl.

She was a blond girl with pointed teeth and sharp eyes, resembling Katsuki's. At the moment, Eri sensed that something was wrong. 'Izuku...?' She felt Izuku's hands trembling. But before she could do anything, Other voice jumped in.

"Oh, Tatami, you're here! And... Baku!" Camie approached them, waving her hand lively. She greeted Eri and Izuku shortly and turned her attention to Katsuki with a giggle. "Long time no see, man. So, you really brought her here, just as I heard. You're such a family man, huh?"

"Fuck." katsuki cursed, making Eri startled.

Then, a sharp sound broke the tension as the little girl slapped Katsuki's mouth with her palm.

"Tatami!" Katsuki snapped.

"Mama told you not to use bad words, didn't she?!" she retorted confidently, shaking her hand that she had just used to slap Katsuki.

"Mama... That is, Kacchan, your...," Izuku mumbled vacantly, but nobody recognized it due to his too low voice. Only Eri sensed a hint of wetness in his voice this time.

Both Izuku and Eri were confused by each of their own reasons, unable to hear the continued argument between Katsuki and Tatami, in which they mentioned 'the old hag' and 'no, she is mama, and not old!'.

Cutting the fight, Katsuki handed the kid over to Camie toughly as if she were a piece of luggage.

"Now you've got this."
