THE OTHERWORLD

The Otherworld always stood apart from the First World. Fairies and specialists preferred the Otherworld's ways and considered it superior. They were more technologically advanced than the First World, but that didn't change the fact that the First World had its own charms. One of the best things about the First World was that it had four seasons: Summer, Winter, Autumn, and Spring. People from the Otherworld had to go to Earth to enjoy the beautiful snow in winter. It never snowed in the Otherworld (except Polaris), or so they were told. There were some legends that said otherwise, but those stories weren't considered good bedtime stories. It was said in these legends that the whole Otherworld did in fact experience winter long ago, during the Frozen Ages, one of the dark times of the Otherworld. People didn't believe in those legends and thought that the absence of winter in the Otherworld was just the way things were. But everyone eventually wondered if the legends were true.

The Otherworld had been freed from the evil witch Sebastian, who had stolen the powers of many young fairies from Alfea College. Bloom, a student from the same college and the fairy of Dragon Flame, saved everyone by sacrificing herself and entering the Realm of Darkness. And with her many long-lost secrets were discovered but much has been left untold. There were unanswered questions and mysteries piling up.

Life returned to normal in the Otherworld, but that changed one fateful day...

Under orders from Queen Luna, three guards set out on a mission. They drove far from the kingdom, reaching a deserted place. They expected to find a green forest, but what they saw was different. They stopped their cars and got out to take a closer look.

"It's unbelievable," one guard said.

A strange cold breeze had swept through Solaria in recent days, something that had never happened before. The Queen's worries were proven true.

The forest stood frozen before them, with snowflakes falling from the clouds. It was winter, but only in that area. The guards couldn't believe their eyes. They had been sent on this mission to see if the Queen's fears were justified, but they never expected to witness snow in the Otherworld.

"We'll go inside the forest. If we don't return in an hour, go back and inform the Queen," one of the guards instructed the third guard. The third guard stayed behind while the others ventured into the forest. Their hearts raced, but they knew they had to uncover who or what was causing this unexpected snowfall.

The third guard anxiously awaited their return. Just a few minutes passed when screams shattered the silence. The guards screamed as if their lives were in danger. Then, the screams abruptly ceased. They were gone. One of the trees was completely covered in blood of the guards and a shadow was standing behind it, staring at the third guard. Fear gripped the third guard, who ran as fast as possible to the car. He was still outside the wintry forest, spared from the fate that befell the others. He quickly got inside the car and sped back to Solaria, determined to warn the Queen.

FIRE

I slowly woke up, my eyes blinking open to see the familiar surroundings of the realm of darkness. The blurriness in my vision cleared, and I found myself lying on a small wooden bed inside the tower where I first arrived. As I looked around, I saw my mother standing nearby, looking worried. I felt a bit dizzy as I tried to sit up, but my mother gently pushed me back down, telling me to take it easy.

"What happened?" I asked, curious and confused. I tried to remember what happened, but it was difficult to make sense of it all.

"Don't push yourself too hard, my dear," my mother said soothingly, coming closer with a cup in her hands. It smelled nice and comforting. "You fainted. It happens in this place. The darkness weakens our powers. I experienced the same when I first came here. With time, you learn to adapt... though I hope you won't have to."
