ALFEA
A few days later...
It was another day at Alfea, as normal as it could get after all that had happened. It had been a week since Bloom had destroyed the last codex, ensuring everyone's safety. The school was still recovering, but classes had resumed, bringing a sense of routine back to the students. However, today was different—there was an unmistakable sense of unease in the air. Everyone was preparing for something, though most weren't quite sure what.
Bloom stood outside the greenhouse, anxiously waiting for Terra. She was shivering slightly, her feet tapping the ground as she paced back and forth. The tension was palpable, and every second felt like an eternity. Finally, Terra emerged.
"It's ready," Terra said, her voice steady as she gestured for Bloom to come inside.
Professor Harvey stood in the middle of the greenhouse, holding a small vial filled with a shimmering potion. This was what they had been working on—the potion that would cure Bloom's mother and remove Valtor's mark from her, allowing her to be herself again. Since the last battle, no one had heard from Queen Marion. She had retreated to the Frozen Forest, the only place she felt safe. With the remaining codex in her possession, Marion still had the power to keep the Frozen Forest strong and protected.
"Are you ready?" Sky's voice cut through Bloom's thoughts as he joined her near the Alfea fairy hall gate.
"As ready as I'll ever be," Bloom replied, her voice wavering slightly, but she managed a determined nod.
"Don't worry, you can do this," Sky reassured her, just as Principal Avalon and Silva approached.
"Let's go, then," Silva said, his tone firm, but supportive.
"Where's Isobel?" Sky asked, glancing around.
"Here," Stella called out as she appeared from behind, accompanied by Isobel and Brandon.
"Okay, then. Let's do this," Bloom said, steeling herself as they began to create a portal to the Frozen Forest.
Isobel had agreed to help them reach the castle. Her winter snow powers made her the perfect guide through the treacherous landscape of the Frozen Forest. As they stepped through the portal, they reached the frozen forest , the freezing air hit them, but Isobel led the way, her presence a beacon of warmth in the icy wilderness.
Though only Bloom was visible, she was far from alone. All the professors, the Headmaster of Alfea, and even Queen Luna with some of her army, were there too. They used light magic to stay invisible, ready to protect Bloom at a moment's notice. The threat Queen Marion posed to the Otherworld was real, and they all came prepared for whatever might happen. Bloom was determined to use the cure on her mother and bring her back. Queen Luna and everyone else was staying invisible as a precautionary measure, in case something goes wrong.
Sky carried the potion, carefully guarding it as they made their way toward the castle. This was their only chance to save Bloom's mother, and failure wasn't an option.
As they approached the castle, the air grew even colder, the atmosphere thick with anticipation. This was it—the moment they had all been waiting for.
Bloom entered the castle, appearing to be alone. The cold, empty halls echoed with each step she took, the silence almost deafening. But she knew she wasn't truly alone. Hidden in the shadows, her allies were there, ready to act if anything went wrong. As she reached the main hall, her breath caught in her throat. There, standing in the dim light, was her mother—just as she had seen her when they first met in the Realm of Darkness.
"Mom," Bloom called out, her voice trembling slightly, echoing the exact tone she had used back then.
"Finally," Marion replied, turning slowly to face her daughter, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Took you long enough."
