"Craig!" Max shouted, "I can't thank you enough, man."
Craig was smoking a cigarette on the back porch."It's no problem, dude, Ronnie already hates me." Craig took a drag off his cigarette and passed it to Max.
Max took a drag,"That's disgusting." He took another
one."I'm serious about Ronnie." Craig cautioned. "He'll destroy you."
"T'II let him." Max interrupted.
"I don't think you're understanding me, Max. Ronnie sucks, he thinks he's the next big thing and he walks all over everyone just because he's in some mediocre band with his fuck wad friends and because he can play guitar and he just doesn't pay attention to anyone and he thinks his dick is SO BIG but in reality it's like slightly above average-" Craig drunk rambled.
"He's in a band?" Max interrupted,
"i didn't think he could get any hotter.""God, you're such a virgin, I'll see you at school, Max. It was nice meetin' you." Craig stumbled back in the house.
Max walked back in the house in search of Ronnie.
"Monte!" Max called.
"Sup!" Monte was grinding on some girl.
"Uh - Have you seen Ronnie... like anywhere?" Max shouted.
"Yeah! He went upstairs after he caught Craig and Mandy!" Monte shouted back.
Max ran up the stairs and started opening doors.
"Ronnie!?"
Not there.
"Ronnie!?!"
Not there either.
"Ron-!"
"Max!" He had finally found Ronnie.
He was in what seemed to be
Thrasher's bedroom."Hey! Are you okay?"
"I caught my girlfriend makin' out with some fag! so, I'm doin' great!"
Ronnie joked."I'm so sorry, Ronnie." Max apologized.
"It's okay, it's not like you made Craig make out with Mandy or something crazy like that." Ronnie Laughed.
Max let out an awkward laugh, that was exactly what he did.
"I didn't really like her anyway."
Ronnie confessed, "She was just hot and single."Hey, Ronnie?" Max sat dowm next to him, "Is it true you dated Craig?"
"Oh god," Ronnie groaned, "You know about that?""Craig told me."
"You probably think I'm a total faggot now."
"No- Uh- Not at all! I was just- Uh-curious. That's all."
A strange tension filled the air. Max was staring at Ronnie.
"Why'd you transfer to Mojave?"
Ronnie asked.Oh no.
Max didn't want to recall the events of his old school, even if they were constantly replaying in his mind.
"Um- I was...
"You don't have to tell me-"
"I was being bullied."
"Oh, they couldn't just have expelled the fuckers?"
"You don't understand. It wasn't just at school, it never stopped. They never left me alone. I ended up in the hospital a few times because of them."
"Wow, they beat you up that hard?"
