Sgt. Buckley's p.o.v-
"It's been four days since she went missing. Do we have anything?" I asked Jones, the tech guy.
"There's not much, but she has been talking to a guy in a chat room. They have mentioned meeting up, but I don't think they have yet by the way they talked. His name is Dylan Hunt. I was able to trace the IP address to 102 Birch street, in Claremont county of Missouri." He said.
"Okay, good. Let me know if anything else comes up."
"Will do."
Okay, so we have a lead. I better go check it out. "Daniels, let's go. We got a lead on the Harrison case." I yelled.
He grabbed his jacket and we left. Claremont is only an hour north of Longsville, which is where we are. Depending how far into Claremont we have to go we should be there by five p.m. On the way there I fill Daniels in on the case.
-------
We finally made it in. It's only 4:46, so we should be able to talk to him. I pulled into the driveway, and parked the car. I got out and quickly made my way to the door, as it started to pour down rain. When I knocked on the door the thunder began rumbling loudly. I wasn't sure if they could hear over the noise so I thought I should knock again. I was about to hit the door when it opened. A woman stood in the doorway. She wore her hair in a messy bun. She wore a light blue tank top and jean shorts. "Um, hi.. Can I help you?" She said, her voice wavering a bit.
"Yes, I'm sgt. Buckley, and this is officer Daniels; we're here looking for Dylan Hunt. This is where he lives correct?"
"Yes sir. That's my brother. Please, come in. I'll go get him." She opened the door so we could come in. She motioned towards the couch letting us know we could sit down. She went down the hall, we could hear the faint voice of her talking to Dylan. When she returned he was following behind. "Can I get you anything?" She asked.
"No, thank you though. Hi, Dylan, I'm sgt. Buckley, and this is officer Daniels. We know you and Danielle Harrison have been talking. We say that y'all had mentioned meeting up, and she's now missing. Would you please tell us y'all's relationship?"
"If you're implying that I took her, that's a far stretch. I'm only 18, and definitely don't have the resources, nor would I do something of such extremes. But, that's not the point. Yes, we've been talking. And yes, we've talked about meeting up. We grew up together, and last year my dad got a promotion that made us move here. And with us being about an hour apart we don't get to see each other anymore. So we talked about meeting up, but neither of us have the time or money to do so. We've been best friends for a very long time, and that's really all there is to it."
"Okay. But, if y'all are such great friends, why do you talk in a chat room online?"
"Well, a week or two ago I dropped my phone in the lake; and I haven't been able to replace it."
"Alright. One more question. Where were you four nights ago?"
"Let's see, that'd be Tuesday night. So I was here studying for finals."
"Well, that's all the questions for now. Thank you for your time."
"Yeah, no problem."
By the time we were done the rain had let up. I dashed to the car so I wouldn't get too wet. "His story seems stable enough. For now at least. Let's check this out with her parents just to be sure." I said to Daniels.
"Yeah, that's probably the best thing to do now." He replied.
We drove back to the station in silence. I'm not exactly sure what our next step will be. I guess we just have to talk to people until we have new evidence.
