The orphanage

Dinner

-sage POV-

I was sitting at the table staring at the small plate of food in front of me that consisted of soup, a small bowl of salad and some bread for the soup
" So...is this what we are gonna be having everyday Artemis..?"
I quietly said to him while he was sitting across from me and I saw him slowly nod and I sighed
" Great.."
I mumbled in a sarcastic tone and just started eating.
The silence between us went on for a long time, both too busy eating and I looked up to see Artemis staring right back at me.."gosh his eyes are gorgeous...wait no! Gosh what am I saying to myself!"i ignored that thought quickly trying to erase it from my mind and quietly replied to his stare
"What...have I got..something on my face..?"
I blushed and got confused and was relieved when u saw him shake his head and knew I was safe from embarrassment
"Your just...really beautiful..."
I heard him half mumble to himself and a felt my face heat up and I was bright red and I stood up
"I-i-I'm not hungry anymore h-heh.."
I quickly walked off and left him there stunned

-Artemis POV-

I wanted to say something to him so badly but I couldn't bring myself to for some reason, I was staring at his hair and looked him up and down...
"why is he so perfect.."
I started to get lost in my thoughts about sage but got interrupted by him looking up at me with his perfect icy blue eyes, asking me if we have the same food everyday, and I sadly nod because the orphanage doesn't have much money for anything....
I heard him mumble "great" and sigh to himself.
" I want him to have a better life than to just be stuck in this hell hole!" ...I was staring at him again thinking while examining all of his features...his freckles...his eyes...his button like nose..it was all so perfect to me...
" What..? Have I got something on my face..?"
I heard him say with a slight worry in his voice when he noticed me staring at him and I shook my head and heard him ask why I was staring and I simply replied honestly,
"Because your so beautiful..."
I saw him go bright red and all of a sudden stand up in shock of what I said.
" I-I'm not hungry anymore"
I heard him nervously mumble and with that he was gone, he left the room in an instant and I was left to eat my dinner alone...
" Great...just great..."
I sigh and regret every word I've said to him so far.
