-ℜ𝔢𝔰𝔱 𝔦𝔫.. 𝔚𝔥𝔞𝔱?-
Cameron finally exited out the airport with her luggage in hand and her phone out, she checks where Nathan wanted to meet her.. the place he works at. Cameron raises an eyebrow at the text sent hours ago and then just shrugs her shoulders and waits for her Uber to arrive.
The air was warm, it wasn't like London at all.. not cold or chilly just the perfect temperature. Cameron was quite jealous at the fact New Orleans was warm.. but nevertheless she was in the US. It was about the 5 in the morning when she finally got off the plane.. so it was still kind of dark.
Her uber then arrived after a good hour or two, Cameron told the driver to unlock the trunk so that she could put her luggage in it. The driver did exactly that.
Cameron was all set to go, she entered the car. She was sitting in the back seat and rested her head on the window, she sighed softly and closed her eyes for a moment before the driver spoke.
"Where to, Miss?" The driver asked looking at the rear-view mirror to look at Cameron, she opened her eyes and sighed gently
"Jameson Marine, mate. Take a much time as ya' need to get there" Cameron spoke in a gentle british accent as she closed her eyes again, she couldn't really shake the feeling of nervousness out her mind she didn't understand why Nathan wanted her to come here at such short notice.
"Alrighty." The driver spoke in a cheerful tone and started the car up and drove away from the airport to the Jameson Marine.
After like hour or two, Cameron thanked the driver and got out the car in the process she grabbed her luggage from the trunk, Cameron looked in the distance and saw Nathan.. but somebody else was there sitting next to him.. Cameron couldn't help but get a wary feeling in her stomach and chest as she started walking towards them hesitantly
"Alright mate. Whats your brilliant idea of textin' me at such a sho-" Cameron then stopped as her heart skipped a whole 10 beats entirely, she saw Nathan.. and then Sam.. Samuel Drake. Nathan called Cameron 15 years ago and told her that he was dead, she was devastated hearing the news.. but there he was 15 years later sitting right next to Nathan.
"Yeah. I didn't wanna call you and tell you that Sam.. is alive-" Nathan spoke in a calm tone, though he too was shocked when he first saw Sam alive and not dead. "So.. i texted you to come to New Orleans" He finished
Cameron stayed silent and stared at Sam in awe as she furrowed her eyebrows with anger, but also relief.. and sadness.
The sky had a pink orange-ish hue to it as the sun started to come up, Sam got up from the bench and walked over to her and gave him a slight smile.
"Hey Cam. Been awhile.. I was-" Sam got cut off by Cameron hugging him tightly as her luggage dropped to the ground making a audible THUMP. She buried her head into his shoulder as she let out a soft sob. "Hey- woah woah ok ok.. nice to see you too.." Sam chuckled and hugged her back for a quick minute before pulling back
"You stupid bloody man!.. i fuckin' hate you!" Cameron sniffled and let go of him as she punches his shoulder harshly, Sam let out a grunt and sighed.
"Deserved.." Sam winces as he rubs his shoulder a bit, Cameron wipes the tears off her face as she calms down. She frowns at Sam and crosses her arms over her chest "of course it was deserved you twat! I thought you we're dead for goodness sake!" Cameron threw her hands up into the air before putting them back to her sides, she sighed heavily turning away from Nathan and Samuel.
Nathan decided to continue on with his sentence, He sighed softly through his nose before continuing "Anyways.. Sam is in trouble--" before Nathan could even FINISH the last of his words Cameron immediately shook her head
"Oh hell no you git. I cannot go on another adventure with you blokes." Cameron says as she pinched the bridge of her nose, as much as she loved these brothers she could not risk her life like that again. Samuel rolled his eyes as he put a hand on her shoulder
"Can you please just listen to what Nate has to say before you say no?" Sam asked her as he raised an eyebrow at him, Cameron looked at him and frowned but nevertheless signaled Nathan to keep going
"Like I was saying... Hector Alcàzar wants half of the treasure that Avery hid, the problem is Rafe bought and owns all of Saint Dismas cathedral.. Before us and Rafe were on bad terms, Sam, me and Rafe combed throughout the whole Cathedral and nothing was there.. Not that that's stopped Rafe.." Nathan rolled his eyes, Cameron sighed deeply and closed her eyes. She actually needed to think this through as she thought about it Samuel started talking
"I found the actual Saint Dismas cross on the internet, its going up for auction in the Rossi Estate." Samuel said leaning on the railing, Cameron opened her eyes and raised an confused eyebrow at Sam "How the bloody hell do you plan on securin' an invite to an exclusiv-" she stopped herself and gave him a 'God dammit' look
"You're breakin' in are ya'?" Cameron bluntly said, Samuel gave her a little smirk and nodded his head
Whaddya say Ms. Daisy? You in?
Cameron was silent for a few moments she glanced at Nathan who was anticipating for her to say yes, she sighed heavily and groaned
Bloody fuckin' hell.. fine fine! Im in.
