First time paddock

Catarina

After we met our old friends again 2 days ago, and thus also Charles leclerc and Lando Norris, we were just on our way to the paddock of Monte Carlo. This year’s Grandprix of Monaco was coming up, which meant that Ayleen and I see Lando and Charles again - if both still remember us - as we had discussed all this on the evening of the party.

Review of the party

We’ve been here a little longer. To be exact, I don’t know how long we’ve been here. Just now Ayleen and I were sitting up in the sofa corner of Lana and Laura, Charles and Lando were still sitting there but were just talking to each other about one of the races of the past until Charles turned in our direction - we had meanwhile sat down on the other side - and asked how long we would stay. „Hmm.. we don’t know exactly maybe another 1 or 2 hours to look. And you?“ Ayleen answered and directly asked a counter-question „joa we also guess I“ Charles replied and looked at Lando who nodded in confirmation.

„See you on Friday?“ Lando asked me about a time when I didn’t even notice that he was sitting next to me. Have I already had so much alcohol? Where was the Ayleen? I looked around and found her next to Charles who had just told her a joke that she giggled quietly. „Yes. Yes, I’ll see you on Friday. Ehm.. So if you better say you want that,“ I answered Lando’s question „of course I want that!“ He said happily and smiled at me. When we were on our way home, Ayleen told me that Charles had also asked her if we would already be at the racetrack on Friday and that he was happy when she confirmed this to him.

Friday

I was just on my way to Ayleen’s room, so actually I just went to the door opposite me and knocked so that we could make our way to the paddock together. We had agreed again at dinner yesterday that I would ‚pick up‘ her today and then tomorrow, yes I know it sounds silly but it was fun for us. „I’m already there,“ says Ayleen and opened the door for me. She was wearing black cargo pants with a white croptop and the Ferrari baseball shirt from last year, which they had in Miami as a special edition. My outfit was very similar to hers, I wore khaki green cargo pants with a crop top from lando and above it the same baseball shirt as Ayleen. Because we still had some time, we first had breakfast in the hotel and then made our way to the racetrack. „Ayleen? Let’s get a cafe quickly“ I spoke to her when I saw the small coffee shop on our way „clear. Let’s also take some for Laura and lana“ she answered me, and we did that too. So we walked 10 minutes later with four coffees on towards the Formula 1 racetrack. The evening before, we had agreed with lana and Laura that we would meet in front of the paddock and then go in together so that we would not get lost in it because the two had been doing this for a long time and are thus familiar with paddocks. Every paddock is different, but you still have a feeling for it, I would say. Another 15 minutes we both stood in front of the paddock and waited for the two. And one thing I can tell you, the mood here in Monaco was incredible for the fact that this was only the first and second training, there was a lot going on here and quite a good mood. „Heyy, do you want to come in“ spoke to us a male voice that I identified as Lando as ayleen and I turned in the direction of the voice. Charles, Pierre and Arthur were also there „hey, no thanks. We are waiting for Laura and lana,“ I replied nicely and smiled at it. Lando and Charles nodded understand and went on „we’ll see each other inside then ok?“ Charles asked ayleen again, who nodded. Pierre and Arthur also said goodbye to us and then went further through the barrier into the paddock.

Ayleen

„Omg sorry people but I searched for my phone all the time and didn’t find it until I found it in the slot of the sofa“ said Laura as she approached us and looked at us with pity because we had to wait so long. I would lie now I would know how long we have been waiting but certainly around 15 minutes. „Oh all good, I know that too well,“ I said and gave catarina a very big side eye „ey I saw that. It’s not that bad either,“ said Catarina and I started laughing and the others were in tune. „Should we go in?“ Asked lana after we had ended up laughing and we all agreed with her with a nod. Wow. Just wow, was the first thing that came to my mind when we entered the paddock. It was wonderful that I could have started crying on the spot, it was so nice to experience the first Grandprix live and then also in the paddock with our best friends. What could be better? Nothing. Exactly nothing at all. „I love it here“ said Catarina and I could only agree with her with a strong nod. We continued to walk through the paddock and walked past all sorts of teams. Alpha Tauri, Williams, Mercedes, redbull everything was here and it was nicer than on the TV. We just stood in front of the garage of Alpine from where you could see the motorhome from ferrair in the bright red from afar. „So guys, it was nice that we still saw each other tonight or tomorrow we will definitely see each other again“ Laura said goodbye to us to go to Alpine’s motorhome, as Pierre was driving for the team. Lana, Catarina and I made our way to the place in the paddock from where we would watch the first two trainings.

Around 6 p.m. the trainings and interviews were finished and we were still waiting for Pierre, Laura, Charles and lando. Arthur had gone outside in the middle of the 2 training sessions to be with his girlfriend because she stayed with us today so that we didn’t wander around here so alone. „There you are finally“ said lana when the four came to us „excused took a little longer than expected“ Pierre apologized on behalf of everyone and so we made our way home. Actually, we all wanted to go for a drink together, but therefore the boys - except Arthur - had to get into a car tomorrow that drove around 300km/h, we didn’t think that was such a good idea because it would be relatively late until we arrived at the bar because we would all also change clothes. So we postponed it to after the qualifying or after the race depended on how you guys sections. In front of our hotel we said goodbye and the other went even further to Charles home and lando to herself. „The day today was mega,“ I said and leaned against the elevator wall „oh yes. He was mega great and also successful,“ said Catarina and then left the elevator because we had reached our floor. „Sleep well and see you tomorrow,“ said Catarina and opened the door to her room. „Thank you too,“ I replied and then closed my door behind me. I changed my clothes and then a lot into a dreamless sleep.

Saturday

We were already in the paddock and were all talking to each other, so lando,Charles,Pierre,lana,Arthur,Laura,Catarina and I. Today we were at the paddock a little earlier, so we still had time to talk a bit. „Good luck you our fingers are crossed“ said Laura then when it was time to say goodbye because the third training began „from us too“ said Catarina and spoke for both of us „Thank you“ said Pierre and hugged us all -yes even Catarina and Me which surprised us a little - and then disappeared in the direction of the motorhome of Alpine. Charles and Lando hugged everyone once and both of us with „thank you“ charles breathed into my ear. I pressed him again and then let him go and smiled at him „we hope for good starting places“ I said and winked at both.

I hadn’t heard much about the third training because the situation with Charles was still occupying me a bit. „Yo ayleen! The qualifying starts now“ Catarina called me again from my day dreaming „hm. Ah yes, let’s go then. I hope for a good starting place for Charles and clearly for lando too“ The qualifying was already in full swing. We were just in Q2 and for the native Frenchman as well as for the monogassen it looked very good. But not for the young British in the Mclaren. „I don’t think lando will make it“ said catarina her doubts and she was right. He drove over the finish and start line and thus pushed himself to the 10th. But Fernando alonso in the aston Martin still pushed himself in front of the British and thus lando was out and starts tomorrow’s race from the P11. For Charles and Pierre, however, it looked good. The two fought with the Dutchman all the time between P1-P3 it remained exciting until the end until everyone drove over the finish line and then I jumped up with a pleased scream and clapped my hands. Charles had made it. He had won the pole at his home race. The first five for tomorrow’s race, so we looked like it.

Pierre had unfortunately not managed the fight with Max and would therefore start from P3 but this was still a good result.

We're sooooooo sorry that the chapter just came today but we have so much stress with school.
The german Story is paused two weeks now bc we don't have the time for it.
