Everyone besides Vanya, the other movie geek stared at Mindy in confusion. "He's making a what?" Sam said as she still stared at Mindy blankly. "Speak. English." Chad said as he looked at his twin sister confused. "Okay, okay. Remember the stab movie that came out last year?"
"Oh yea the one the knives out guy directed, right? I really liked it-" Liv began to say as she was then cut off by the sound of Vanya's small laughs. "Of course you did, you have terrible taste. But the hardcore stab fans hated it. You go on 4chan and Dreddit, all they're talking about is how Stab 8 pisses on their childhood."
"How there's no connection to the original films, how the main character's a Mary Sue-" Mindy explained very passionately as she looked at everyone. "What's a Mary Sue?" Richie questioned trying to find an opening to speak. "It's better not to ask Kirsch so just sit and listen."
Vanya said in response to Richie as she looked over at him. "What's wrong with elevated horror? I mean Jordan Peele fucking rules." Amber questioned as she looked over at Mindy. "Of course he does but stab isn't, hasn't and was never supposed to be elevated horror."
"Exactly Vanya. Real Stab movies are mega slasher whodunits, full stop." Mindy said as Vanya looked over at Sam seeing she was getting uncomfortable. "I mean come on it's just a movie right?" Mason chimes in finally speaking as he looked at Mindy. "No, it's not, To some people the original is their favorite thing in the world."
