*El*
I cuddled up to the warmth of my jacket. I hate cold nights like these. Especially when Jack makes me spend them in his backyard.
"Why do we have to be out here at night? It's freezing," I said.
"Hang on, just look at the stars." He said. I turned my head to where Jack was looking and smiled.
"Wow,"
"I know." He replied. We spent about a half hour looking at the stars until he let out a sigh. "There's something you should know, El,"
"What?" I asked, separating my eyes from the sky.
"My dad got a job in California. I'm moving," It took me a while to soak this all in. My boyfriend, my best friend that's been there for me through everything is leaving.
"Does Johnson know?" I asked
"Yeah, I told him before I invited you over." He said. It took me a while to answer. I felt like I couldn't talk. But when I finally could, I asked him the one question that I was dying to know.
"What will happen to us?"
"I don't know." He said, biting his lip. He looked at me and then swung his arm around my shoulders, pulling me closer to him. "I do know that I'm going to miss you,"
"I'm going to miss you too." I said, resting my head on his shoulders. "When do you leave?"
"Saturday morning." He said. I looked down at the grass and realized it was Thursday. I have one day left with him.
We sat there for a long time and just enjoyed each other's company. He kissed my forehead and then I fell asleep.

Today is the day that Jack leaves.
I ran down the stairs and outside to Jack's house which is right across from mine.
He was outside, packing his stuff into the car.
"Hey," He said, putting the last of the luggage into his car, and opening his arms for a hug.
"Hey." I said, pushing myself into his hard chest. We pulled away seconds later as Johnson and Arden came out of the house.
"Hello, El," David, Jack's dad said.
"Hello, Dave," I smiled.
"Jack, it's time to go. Do you have your stuff ready?"
"Yeah." He nodded. "El, do you have a minute?" He asked. I nodded and walked over towards him.
"Yeah?" I asked.
"I just wanted to say that I'm going to miss you like crazy,"
"I'm going to miss you even more." I said, looking down. I could feel the tears form, so I tried my best to keep them in.
"Hey, don't cry," He said, engulfing me into his warm, famous Jack hugs. When he let go, he pulled out a bright blue box out of his pocket. "I got you this yesterday," He opened the box to reveal a beautiful gold plate bracelet that had JG+EM with a heart next to it.
"Jack, it's beautiful." I said, as he put the bracelet on my wrist. I looked up at him and smiled.
"Jack, are you ready?" His mom asked, after hugging Johnson, Arden, and I.
"Yeah." He said. He turned back to me and kissed me. "I'll be back, I promise. And when I am, we'll pick up where we left off. Okay?"
"Okay." I nodded. We hugged one last time before he got into the car with his sisters.
The car pulled out and Jack waved at us one last time before he was gone.
