I then looked back to the door and saw Mike standing there.

" Come on we need to leave now." He said. The first thought that came into my head when he said that was:

Who is here that could possibly scare him?

My question was soon answered  by flashing lights and sirens. I had a lot of hope when I saw this and got up immediately and almost passed out from getting up too fast and also blood loss. I looked around while I was still up and saw my mom and dad with about 10 police. My mom looked at me in horror and made what sounded like a yelp.

" Get up or I'll-" Mike said but was cut off by me.

" Do what? Abuse me in front of police where they could shoot you down immediately? Or are you going to grab me by the hair and make me screech and get shot some more?" I said. He gave me a look and slapped me. The police grabbed their guns and were about to fire when I felt a barell of a gun against my head.

" Shoot and she dies!" As he said as he pressed the gun harder causing my temple to throb. I made a wimpering noise as I felt the gun click. He grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and headed toward the second floor stair case which lead to the roof. He opened the door to the roof and held me over the edge.

" Help!" I said horsely while a tear rolled down my cheek. I saw the police rise their guns up and aim.

" Fire!" I heard a man say. Gun fire went off and bullets whizzed past my head. One skimmed my ear and I heard a struggle for breath behind me. I looked up and saw Mike was shot in the stomach. He let me go and I plummeted to my death. Mike fell backward and I started seeing things.

    Why am I still here?

Stop it.

  Maybe you should die.

Please.

You were never meant to be in this world.

" Stop it!!" I yelled as I fell. I saw a tear floating above me. It glinted in the sunlight and broke in the air.

Okay. I will....

I sighed in relief as I almost reached the ground. Then I saw a trampoline come out of the shadows. I looked at it as I fell and felt as if I was safe. I did not feel the trampoline. Instead I felt the hard tar crack my fragile little head.

" Aghh." I could say that and that only. I looked up at the sky with teary eyes and heard an ambulance come rushing down the road.

  For now.
