Star-Struck - A Beyond the Narnia-Verse Story || OC X Lily James

Introduction: The Paradox

On the Comet Observatory, Narnian Year unknown, Earth Year 2023, the Goddess and Queen of the Stars, Lilliandil, tends to her beloved David the Incredible. He sleeps, and she desires to know more of him, and so the Goddess peeks into the one Earth where David survives beyond the Narnia-Verse...

There was one Earth, she found, where he lived past his sudden departure from that world and sudden entry into Narnia- and in this world, Lilliandil could see him with Lilith, together, and it warmed her heart.

But part of her heart longed to be there with him, and suddenly, she was- with a thought, an extension of herself manifested in the building that she was observing David and Lilith in.

Lilliandil gasped slightly. She practically cloned herself in a heartbeat- across the Multiverse? She shuddered at her power. She should spread herself across every universe, make David hers across everything-

But then her David would no longer be one in a trillion.

She sighed and suppressed her thoughts, knowing how easily that could've been made reality, and continued focusing. Whatever building this Earth David and Lilith and herself was in was playing music- and David loved it, she knew. Then she watched from across universes- he knew the song! He was walking slowly while singing to himself- he looked so cute doing that, Lilliandil remarked to herself- and suddenly she realized she could see both her magical perspective AND the perspective of her new double!

She needed a term, if not a name later. For a term...fragment seemed apt, but a quick peek into this Earth David's mind for a similar word yielded both Fractals and Antifractals- music titles, from as far as she could glean in those precious microseconds- and decided on it. Her doubles would be known as Fractals.

Lilliandil peered into her Fractal to get a closer look at the crowd, at David, at Lilith, at anyone, and this Fractal Lilliandil- Lily, she decided to name herself- almost dropped the drink she was apparently holding.

Lucy Pevensie was there!

Again, Lilliandil gazed across universes and found many Narnian realities where David fell in love with Lucy Pevensie, and Lilliandil smiled, before resuming shock. That was in Narnia- this was Earth in 2023!

Lilliandil bit her lip. She wanted David and Lilith to be happy, too, but she wondered what would happen if David and Lucy met.

The Goddess swallowed. If she helped a little, helped create a change- it would just create an alternate Timeline, not ruin their current one. David and Lilith would still be together.

With a fluttering in her heart, Lilliandil waved her hand, and the stars aligned for them on Earth, and as Lilliandil's magical command burst across existence, Earth David found himself gazing at Lucy, and Lilliandil smiled happily. It actually worked!

David looked to recognize her, too. Did this Earth David know of Narnia? Another irresistible glance into Earth David's mind for a few nanoseconds yielded that this Lucy's name was Georgie. Georgie Henley.

David deserved this, Lilliandil thought.

But she couldn't help but want him still.

She bit her lip again as she watched the spectacle from the Bedroom of the Comet Observatory. She'd already created one new Timeline, what was another?

Lilliandil delved into her Fractal, now named Lily, and approached him with sparkling eyes. She could sense magic in him too- Aphrodite must be there with him. Lilliandil radiated magic through Lily into David, as a signal of peace to Aphrodite.

"Hey, sexy," Lily spoke to him, tapping him on the shoulder and suppressing a giggle at his starstruck expression. "Shall we dance?"

Lilliandil almost clapped audibly as she watched David and Lily walk together onto the dance floor. David deserved this too, she thought.

Then it shall be so, the Goddess Lilliandil decided.

One Earth universe for David and Lilith, one for David and Georgie, and one for David and her first Fractal, Lily.

Her eyes sparkled and the Stars aligned to follow her command to create these new possibilities, and Lilliandil smiled brightly at her accomplishment—

Another gift bestowed.

Suddenly, at the Goddess' command, the universe itself writhed in protest. It was refusing her!

This was new. This was...not good.

By inserting her Fractal Lily into David's Earth, she found that both her name and appearance coincidentally matched with that of someone, also near and dear to David's heart, someone named Lily James, essentially forcing two of them to exist at once.

Lilliandil scoured the Earth looking for some sort of definition of what she had just done.

A..."Celebrity Paradox"?

She could feel the universe tremble. It did not like that. She had to fix it, quickly!

She could feel her heartbeat accelerating alongside the heat death of the Earth. The Deep Magic and countless magicks out of her grasp would rip her new universe apart in retaliation for daring to mess with it!

Maybe, if her Fractal was messing with Lily James...maybe her Fractal could be imbued into Lily James!

Lilliandil folded her hands and before she even knew how to do it, she had done it.

She scanned the Earth of her new Star-commanded universe again. Lily James and everyone were alive, and Lily James here...had new memories. Memories of meeting with and dancing with a handsome stranger that took her breath away.

Lily James had new feelings...she simply had to see him again!

His name was...David. David H-

Lilliandil gasped as her Fractal Lily was fully absorbed into Lily James. Lily had accepted such a magical melding. Whatever she did, she did outside of Lilliandil's direct influence, now.

Lilliandil laid back down onto her bed and collapsed with a sigh next to her sleeping husband David the Incredible.

There was now one 2023 Earth David ending up with Lilith, another universe of one 2023 Earth David ending up with Georgie Henley, and another ending up with Lily James.

Another gift bestowed, indeed.
