Elders have always asked young people to dream with caution, for dreams can come alive. They are our unconscious mind's manifestations that can be turned into reality. So when Nick Darling was dreaming about his Venice trip he should not have imagined Sam Turner to be there.

Before anyone thinks that this all was just Nick's bad dream, there was a very angry Sam on the hotel room floor that they were sharing.  And he was not at all happy.

"What the hell is your problem?" Sam asked Nick angrily.

"Me? What's the issue with you? You were literally sleeping on me," Nick answered him.

"There were a thousand different ways to deal with that but I suppose throwing a sleeping guy off the bed is how Nick thinks, right? Have you always been this stupid?"

"Look, if you don't wanna be thrown off the bed, then don't touch me,"

"Oh believe me when I say this, you're not that pretty that I would wanna touch you,"

"Me, pretty, me is very pretty, you're not pretty, you're pretty ugly, yes that's what you are, you were trying to take advantage of me and I do not appre-"

"Are you serious right now? I wouldn't touch you even if you begged me." Sam was serious. He climbed back onto the bed and stared into Nick's eyes. He was intimidating. But Nick wasn't the one to back down. They came as close as physically possible without touching, glaring at each other, not realizing how electric their proximity was.

"I would rather jump off this window and drown in the waters of Venice than beg you," Nick said, not blinking once. Sam was glaring at him intensely. It was one of those looks which were enough for anyone to back down. But Nick was not one of them.

"I can't deal with someone as childish as you, you realize that I was asleep. If I knew that even my smallest finger was touching you, I would have moved as far away as possible,"

"Look, I am sorry I overreacted," Nick said, unwillingly. He was trying to understand Sam's perspective.

"Sorry doesn't truly justify how stupid you are, but sure I'll take the couch next time,"

"No, I'll take the couch, after throwing you off the bed that's the least I can do," Nick backed away a little and started to pick up his pillow. He wasn't done sleeping yet.

"I am not even going to fight you on this, enjoy the couch, Nicky" Sam said, smirking, half asleep.

"DON'T  CALL ME NIC-" Nick jerked back to face Sam and ask him not to call him Nicky but he didn't realize how less of a distance they had between each other. In a span of a few seconds, Nick's lips crashed aggressively into Sam's. Nick's eyes widened with shock and he immediately backed off and fell down himself.

"Wow, who's taking advantage now?" Sam asked Nick, laughing out loud.

"You, you did it, you moved, didn't you? Ugh, you're so annoying I don't know how you are so evil, I am not staying here one bit, I am going out," Nick continued to blabber whatever was left in his vocabulary. He was wearing his little pony shorts and proceeded to hide himself in the bathroom. Sam continued laughing at him.

"Shut up!" Nick shouted from the bathroom. The event left him in disbelief. His worst fear had become a reality. He yearned to distance himself from the guy at all costs. Despite his efforts, fate seemed to have other plans as they were once again thrown together, this time in close proximity. Each encounter brought them closer together, intensifying their presence.
