Chapter 1 DEV

"Good morning Dev"

Hi I'm a girl and my name in Dev.

"Nothing good about the morning ma." I said as I struggled to wake up and sit. I couldn't see much thanks to the blinding sunlight. But hey I love the blinding sunlight.

"Negative attitude will bring you negative days girl." Mom sighed as she folded my blanket and looked at me with a smile.

I got up and started getting ready for school.

"You look like you're gaining too much weight" says Snigdha. My sister. Can she leave me alone when I'm having my breakfast for Christ's sake?

"None of your business, is it?" I reply trying to act like I don't care about her opinions. But it's eating me inside. And that's when I decide to eat less breakfast.

She has an opinion on anything and everything. And you know those relationships where you hate people but love them so much you can't even hate them properly. Yep that's her for me.

Let's skip the same old boring routine.
It was 8:40 and I was racing upstairs.

Right, you'll only understand this pain if your stupid classroom is on the second floor.

"Hi" I hear Alina beaming with energy.
Oh god. Why and how is she so energetic in the morning?

"Hi babygirl" I say breathing heavily.
This is my problem. It's never too hard to flirt with women. It's the men-

"HELLO" I hear my best friend Nikhil scream in my ear. Talk about energy. He looks extra tall today.
Sometimes I wonder if it's confidence that makes him look taller. I don't make sense, do I?

"Hi" I smile at him.
Oh god did he get a haircut again? How does he manage to look sane after so many haircuts? Whatever he looks... not bad.

Class starts as usual. The day goes by with me and Alina talking about our teachers' love lives.

Nikhil and me have 3000 arguments and we make up nicely every time.
But it's the 5th hour when everything changes.

A new student is introduced to us and oh my god he's HOT.

"Hello, my name's Samyak."

That's it?

No 'my hobbies' or 'my ambition' ?

He walks over and sits right next to Nikhil. Both of them make an amazing visual pair .
Nikhil is more on the golden retriever side but Samyak.

He has hazel brown eyes and a really beautiful nose. His eyelashes make me jealous and his thin lips accompanied by those dimples (I've only seen them once i.e during the introduction thing) and that deep voice is to die for.

I realize I'm awkwardly staring at him and turn around quickly. And that's when I see it. I'm not the only one staring.
