I sigh, looking into the mirror at my face. Dark circles would hang under my eyes but are covered up by heavy amounts of makeup. With eye shadow on to at least give the effect of cool. My hair in a messy triangle shape but it was perfect that way. A shiny nose ring would hang right in the middle. On my right eyebrow would be a set of 3 silver-looking rings, thin but still shined in the lighting. I wore a ragged flannel with a black t-shirt that has my awesome logo on it and a pair of ripped black jeans. For my shoes, I wore my crimson Converse. I gave the mirror my traditional smile as I was ok with how my outfit looked.

As I stated to make small touch-ups to my look there was a knock at my door.

"Come in."

I said in my usual raspy voice.

"Peridot, the press is ready for their interview with you."

My good old manager, Greg. He is a nice guy and a great manager. I kinda feel bad about him going on all of these tours and stuff away from his family but after this interview, we are going to rest up at his home. I've met his family a little bit. He has two stepdaughters. One is named Amy who is 28 years old and the other is named Jasper who is 30 I think. I've worked with Jasper before I got into the music biz and let me tell you, she is not the best person to be around but who can blame her. She has had a difficult life. Oh, then Greg's biological son, Steven. Steven is quite young. I went to his latest birthday party and if I remember correctly the little guy is 12 years old. He is such a kind soul though and has a heart for music. Steven and I wrote a song together on his birthday. That kid has a talent for stringed instruments, one of them being his ukulele.

Greg also has some found family as well. They are the ones who take care of Steven when he is gone. There's Pearl who is such a neat freak but not bad at playing the bass guitar. Pearl is 32 years old and when Steven's mother was alive, stars she had the hots for her. I was never lucky enough to meet Steven's mom but from all the stories I hear from Pearl and Greg she was an awesome person. Finally, we have Garnet. Garnet always freaks me out. She always has sunglasses on, even when she is inside. She always seems to know what I'm thinking. Even some of the things that seem completely normal she makes it seem kinda off. She does do one-night stands, but never actually gets into a relationship though. I had a one-night stand with her once and I think that kinda changed my life but in a good way.

Anyways, back to business. I stand up and take a deep breath and follow Greg into a room where a woman was sitting in a chair and behind her was a beautiful background. Cameras were scattered across the room but I acted unfazed. I had to be professional because this was going on TV, everyone would be watching. The woman tells me to sit down and explains what will happen. I got situated and got my mind ready for every question she will ask. There was a count down and when it got down to one is when she started blabbering.

"Welcome back everyone! We are here today with someone very special. Miss 5-XG!!"

The camera would pan to me and I would wink and do finger guns at it with my signature smile. There was a clearing sound effect added as if there was a crowd there.

"Now, we are all ecstatic about the new album you dropped but the real question is when your next tour is?"

I keep a small fake smile on my face.

"I will be taking a small break but my next tour will probably be next month. I'm going to be trying to find some new members for an actual band."

There was a gasp sound effect as the interviewer acted shocked.

"So what you're saying is we are going to see some new talented faces?"

"Yep, I hope this will bring some new excitement to my fans out there."

I look at the camera and wink.

"Oh, how thrilling! While on the topic of fans, we have been noticing a decrease lately. One of the big questions are what do you expect when getting new recruits?"

I smirk at the question, knowing where it will lead me to saying.

"My expectations are the best of the bests. The people that will join my band can't just be good, they can't just be great, that will be extraordinary."

"And where do you think this will take you?"

I smile and look straight into the camera with my emerald green eyes.

"To the stars and beyond."
