Mini and Sumi entered the room and saw Chizuru awake and sitting on her bed. Chizuru looked towards Sumi and said "Sumi-chan?... What's happening, why am I in a hospital?".

Mini and Sumi went straight and hugged her tight, "w-we were so worried a-about you C-Chizuru-san",Sumi said.

Just then kazuya came and stopped at the door, looking towards Chizuru. They made eye contact and both were paused for a moment.

Then kazuya stepped in and held her hand firmly.

"I told you to stay home and rest, this time you're staying home until you're all better, I don't wanna hear any arguments",
Kazuya said with a genuine concern on his face. Mini and Sumi nodded in agreement.

Chizuru keeps staring at kazuya with slightly red cheeks. Noticing this Mini said jokingly , "chizuru-san say something, or are you that happy to see master that you can't say anything?".

"W-What? ..." Chizuru seemd a bit shocked and troubled.

"What's the matter?, are you feeling alright?", Kazuya asked.

As Kazuya was still holding her hand, he felt her grip got tightened.

Chizuru said "I-Im sorry, but I don't recognise you... ". Kazuya was taken aback, his hands went cold.

Sumi and Mini both shocked, "Chizuru-san, t-this is not a great time for pranks", Mini said.

"I-Im really sorry, b-but I can't remember who you are... ", Chizuru said with her eyes almost in tears.

Words didn't came out of Kazuya's mouth, as he looked at her with disbelief. The world around him seemed to fade away.

Just then the doctor stepped in witnessing the situation, "We need to examine her, could you please wait outside for a while? ", they all went outside, all three of them in shock.

Mini said, "Did she somehow lost her memory!?".

"B-But she d-did remember me.. " Sumi added.

Kazuya sitting in silence, 'w-what just happened?.... W-was she joking?....b-but her face didn't seemd like she was, did she lost her memory?.... of me?.... of our 2years of knowing each other.... ' all these thoughts raced through his mind. Overwhelmed by his thoughts and the severity of the situation, he finally gave in tearing.

After some time the doctor came and explained to them her situation.

"As you remember I said before, that the injury on her head can be of concern, and unfortunately it did caused some complications"

The doctor continued,
"Her condition is what we call, Retrograde amnesia. It normally occurs when a person suffers a kind of shock on their head or have some kind of brain injury. Depending on the severity of the injury it can be temporary, permanent or progressive"

All three of their faces went pale after hearing this, specially Kazuya's.

"But... ", the doctor added, "Fortunately for her, the injury she received on her head despite being a little deep, is not that serious, and she should be able to regain her memories in one or two days"

Kazuya and Mini seemed to be somewhat relieved.

"T-Then how could s-she remember my name? " Sumi asked.

"For how long have you known her?" the doctor asked.

Sumi told her she knew chizuru for well more than 2years.

The doctor thought for a moment and said, "Then I think she is missing her last 2 years of memories".

"But she also remembered yemori-san, right? " Kazuya asked.

"Now that i think about, she never said my name when we were in there" Mini started crying.

"D-Don't cry Yemori-san, as the doctor said she will regain her memories in a few days, it's a-alright... ", Kazuya said in an attempt to calm her down.

"I really hope so master... " Mini said still crying.

'....me too', Kazuya thought to himself.

The nurse who was with Chizuru noticed she's still zoned out.

"Are you feeling alright?", the nurse asked.

"o-oh, yeah im ok... "

"Are you thinking about your friends?.... don't worry the doctor said your memory loss is most likely temporary"

Chizuru still looked a bit down.

"You've got a really caring boyfriend", the nurse said in an attempt to lighten up her mood.

"huh...!? " Chizuru exclaimed with confusion.

"The boy who was holding your hand? , oh I'm sorry you're probably having trouble remembering him.. " the nurse said.

"I-I don't think he's my b-boyfriend or anything", Chizuru blushed hard saying that.

"No?, but you face brightened up when you saw him, also it seemed like you didn't wanted to leave his hand when the doctor was telling them to wait outside", the nurse said smiling.

Chizuru looked at her hand which kazuya was holding before, and said,

"I don't know....., I can't remember him, but....I felt kind of relieved when I saw him standing in front of the door.... , It was almost like I didn't wanted him to leave. It felt like.....

..... he was a special someone".

(Author's Note : Although Im trying to keep the characters and facts as original as I can to the manga, but still there might be some cases where the facts don't match up with the manga facts... Like Chizuru's knowing Sumi before Kazuya. Im actually a bit confused but I think Chizuru met Kazuya before meeting Sumi in the manga, but in this version of mine she met sumi quite a few months before meeting kazuya through that rental date. So..... I hope you like it )
