Six years ago their was a fire known as the Hale fire, I was at school along with my best friend Derek Hale, we were standing in the hallway I had my eyes closed as I was leaning against the wall while Derek was dribbling the basketball with his friends. Right then, a young girl walked out of the music room and told Derek to stop because she was trying to practice music I scoffed knowing how Derek is with beautiful women and she was gorgeous.
Anyways as Laura hale, Derek's older sister came to get us from school, I had got my dancing bag and left with the two of them outside to Laura's car and I smelled smoke, so I stopped walking
"Dal?" Derek asked as I glared towards the forest and started running into the woods ignoring the calls of the two hales behind me and weaving and dodging trees until I got to the house.
"NO!" An ear-piercing scream left my mouth as I started running into the house trying to save as many people as I could before it's to late but before I could Talia ran up to me and pulled me into a hug giving me her alpha necklace then that's when the hunters threw their flash grenade inside the house
"Cover your eyes"Talia told me so I covered my eyes as I smelled gasoline as well as a match, tears started coming to my eyes as Talia carried me all the way down to the basement floor of the house, I looked around and saw Peter Hale along with some of the other wolves and humans, I grew angry as I looked around the room trying to find a way out.
I saw a small window I walked over to it and opened it and crawled through urging some of the others to follow me, but it was already half way to late, the fire had progressed down to the basement at a fast pace but there was only one person that I saved and that was Peter Hale,Derek's and Laura's uncle but he had third degree burns on the side of his body and was taken to the burn unit at Beacon Hills Medical
"MOM NO!" I heard Derek's voice I ran over to him still in shock that I've seen the hales burn up I grabbed him and brought him into a hug
I woke up panicking and breathing fast my heart started beating erratically as dad ran into my room and sat in my bed
"Dal, shhhh shhhh you're ok, you're ok shhhhh" he said as he pulled me into a hug
"Did I wake you?" I asked feeling ashamed for waking dad up because of a nightmare
"No I was already up and started getting ready for work" dad told me I nodded
"What time is it" I asked him looking around
"Five in the morning " dad told me I sighed
"I'm ok go finish getting ready I'm going to call Derek to check on him" I said smiling slightly
"Ok sweetheart I love you" dad said as he kissed the top of my head and left my room; i grabbed my phone off the nightstand that was right next to my bed
Pulled up my contacts and scrolled until I found the person I was looking for, I smiled as I pressed call and brought it up to my ear then it started ringing
"Hello Dal" the voice of my best friend came through the phone I sighed in relief
"Derek are you ok " I asked him, I knew it was a stupid question to ask someone who lost nearly all his family, but at least he still has me, Cora his little sister and Peter his uncle who right now is in the burn unit at the hospital
"Not really, there's an alpha here, it bite a sixteen year old boy and now I have to find that alpha as well as train the boy" he said I gulped
"Wait where's Laura can't she help" I asked him
"Dal im so sorry but whoever the alpha is killed Laura, tore her in half and left her in the woods" Derek said I gasped
"No no no not her" I said as tears started to come out of my eyes and down my cheeks
"Dal im sorry but what happened to make you call?" Derek asked
"Come on Der it's been six years since the fire I was calling to check and make sure you're alright, and I may have had a nightmare of that night" I said
"You're going to be ok I'll come down there to see you when I can I promise you bestie I love you, try and get some more sleep it's to early for you to be up I'll call you later" he said to me I closed my eyes
"Alright I hope you find the alpha bye Der" I said to him
"Bye Dal talk to you later" he said as he hung up the phone I smiled and laid back down just starring at the ceiling I knew I wasn't going to be able to go back to sleep
