So it's been about two weeks since that whole incident and things went back to normal the day after too. But w/ that being said things are now getting weird. You may be wondering how so. Well recently the students have been avoiding me. It's even affecting the students in the groups I was helping. They started hiding during our meeting time and working by themselves.
One time one of the groups were caught and said I was running late. When the teacher who caught them said they could call me and see where I was at they said it was fine and that I could have been caught up in doing one of my jobs.
The principal eventually grew tired of this and held an assembly. Now anybody who has been to a public school assembly knows that not everyone stays quiet. There's always someone somewhere talking. This was no different until the principal brought up the new behavior. That's when a student body of over 200 and some students all gathered in one area went dead silent. You couldn't even hear them breath.
There was no tapping of fingers, no leg bouncing. Nothing. The only sound were mine and the staff's breathing. Which was followed by, after a moment of silence, the sound of the staff looking from each other, to the students, and to the principal. The one to break this eerie silence was the principal.
She offered a free pass to skip the two dreaded classes for the rest of the year. This caused an uproar. That is until she added the clause that it would go to the first person who tells us what is going on. Once again it was quiet but it was even quieter this time. I don't even know how that's possible.
After a minute of just sitting there in silence the principal ended the assembly. After that the students avoided me even worst. How did it get worst you say? Oh, the people who had lockers near mine cleaned them out and buddied w/ someone.
This continued for a while. That is until I found a student skipping the dread hours.
"Hey! Come w/ me now." I ordered. The student merely looked at me then looked away ignoring me. "Get a move on already I got more important things to take care of than you." I say and go to grab his wrist.
"Don't touch me bitch!" He yells in my face then slaps me.
"What's your name?" I asks.
"Jacob!" He states proudly. I take out my phone and scroll through the list of kids I can't beat.
"Last name." I state.
"Sun." He states. I look through all the Jacobs on the list and he's not one of them. I double check and even send a text to the principal. I got the go ahead.
"Jacob Sun. You fucked up." I say. He looks at me confused before I punch him. He got back up and went to kick me in the gut but froze. I looked at him puzzled. Then the next thing I knew was someone had their arms wrapped around my waist.
I jumped and went to look behind me but I couldn't. As I tried that someone sped pass me and started pulverizing Jacob. When I finally got a good look it was the third female.
"Hey! Let him go now!" I ordered. She stopped and turned to look at me.
"Fine. But I want a reward." She says.
"For what?" I ask.
"Defending you!" She says almost offended I asked.
"What?" I ask halting my movements and my face dropping. Not from fear or anything like that but from confusion. I was so confused on what she meant that all facial expressions failed to express. My face was just blank while my jaw hung low.
"What are you looking at me like for?" She asks.
"She's right. She should be rewarded for defending you." The one holding me says. After hearing her voice I realize it's the second female.
